The proof of the pudding is that he has not cleanly lost a round since his comeback.

Its just a unique combination of Klithate, Keyboard warriorism, and Haylordism that is making people say these damned silly things.

We all know that guys like Juan Carlos Gomez and Chris Arreola would have presented major challenges to Haye.

His reflexes actually were pretty quick in terms of head movement. Not handspeed but in timing his opponents punches and slipping them with head movement he was quick for his size.

Arreola and Gomez would have knocked Haye out.

Vitali is not slow and never has been. Check out the dialogue between rounds in the Austin corner when Austin's corner told him that Vlad is slow, and that he out boxed him, Vlad knocked Austin out in the very next round. Same with Vitali, everyone says that he is slow, can't fight, has not defense, has no stamina, blah, blah...............Vitali beats them all.

You really think that Arreola and Gomez knock Haye out? I can't see Arreola being too much of a problem for Haye, he's too slow on his feet and telegraphs his punches terribly. Haye would be able to box rings around him.

Gomez is a different story, I think he would pose Haye real problems, but only if he was motivated and up for it. He's probably the laziest fighter on the face of the earth, a real waste of talent.

And yes Vitali is getting slower, it was very noticeable against Sosnowski how slow his jab was. Against Lennox Lewis Vitali consistantly beat Lewis to the jab, which is an impressive feat, but I don't think the Klitschko of today would do that.

Haye is so overrated that it's sad for boxing fans. Haye knows he would be knocked out by Vitali or Vlad, which is the reason he broke two contracts with them and ran.

hes so faded that sonowski didnt win round......brilliant

while briggs is the opposite being quick, accurate, and doesnt tire

theres a reason briggs is ranked # 77

    and vitali # 2

if hes to be taken, not gonna be shannon the cannon that only kos guys who have to punch the clock later that night or in the morning who already have 16 losses to their name

lord knows im no haye fan....but no way gomez does ****...hes been a **** heavyweight....his biggest win is over oliver mccall who was 43 or 43
he defines the term "bum" in the opponents he has fought over the last 8 years
not to mention he was KTFO by a club fighter in 1 round
before he got a crack at vitali

Everyone is a veritable Nostradumbass when it comes to forecasting the demise of a Klitschko brother.

No doubt many of the same people who said his body would never make it through another training camp and who doomed his comeback to failure after his four year sebatacle.

Personally, I will wait for him to lose a round or two before I pass judgement.

If Vitali is over-the-hill and should retire, they what does that make the rest of the heavyweights?

Gomez is a southpaw, is 6 feet 4 inches tall, had over 300 amateur fights for Cuba! Haye would be be able to hurt Arreola, but Arreola sure would hurt Haye!

Even if one accepts the argument that Vitali is passed his prime..

then wtf is Shannon Briggs? The man never had much of a prime and what prime he did have was over a decade ago.

Briggs is a name for Vitali to fight. Briggs' style is tailor-made for Klitschko. Briggs has, or at least had early KO power and shitty possibly asthmatic stamina. Klitschko has a chin and outstanding stamina. Vitali's got something for Briggs' strength, and something for Briggs' weaknesses. Even if Vitali goes down(Which I doubt, I predict a shut-out.) he will get up, Briggs will tire, and get KO'd. I'd say round 6.

Briggs is to Vitali what Chris Byrd would have been to Wladmir had Byrd been 10 years older with a history of asthma. One is not suited to beat the other one even at their best. Wladmir's only weaknesses were a somewhat shaky defense and an iffy chin, Byrd's weakness was a complete lack of power..effectively giving Wladmir no weakness when the two met.

I love to watch Vitali as a kick boxer also. I think his injuries came from that, plus too much fighting. Vitali loves to fight, he used to fight for free.
