One could make a case for Vitali running from strong opposition before his retirement, when the best fighters he fought were Lewis and Byrd, and both fights were in some sense "accidental" (Byrd was someone's substitute on short notice, similarly to VK being Johnson's substitute against Lewis).

But now, VK is more or less fighting the best of what is left. The original list of fighters VK is supposedly running from is a joke.

Maskaev, Rahman, Golota and Toney? Did you got stuck somewhere in 2002/3? Rahman got completely undeserved titleshot almost one year ago, lost it badly and did nothing from this time. Similarly Golota, who lost to Ray Austin year ago and retired to heal his injuries (and BTW now is scheduled to fight Adamek). Valuev and probably Povetkin want no part of any Klitschko, as you may remember Povetkin already earned his shot at Wlad, but somehow found a way of backing out, oficcially due to injuries.

None of the boxers in your list is a truly great boxer. They are contenders at best.

Vitali could box any of the clowns in the above list, he could fight Johnson or some random bum off the street from around the corner. The result would be the same so what does it matter.

All those fighters mentioned in the OP could have been fighting each other over the last year with the winners calling out Vitali. Chambers is the only one who's been active against quality comp.

james toney is top competition? even with steriods he couldn't beat danny batchelder. Andrew GOlota has a scheduled fight. Povetkin has a scheduled fight and has the right to face Wlad. Solis aint ready. Tua are you serious? he fights once a year and just beat cameron, not deserving. Rahman, get real, no one is scared of him, he was injured. Maskaev, everyone knows this would be a walk over win for VK. Valuev is promoted by king. you look ignorant with such a silly post.

I forgot Ruiz indeed. A man who has a better record than the "ATG" Vitali.
My list was a snapshot of fighters that are available right now or were available a few months earlier if "ATG" Vitali ever wished to raise his record opposition quality.
There have been so many chances to do so when James Toney or Ruiz were not overaged.
And relating the contract excuses: Hays vs. Valuev was made within one week. Without the bad Don King, without 4-fight-contracts. That says all.

I like the sound of the golota fight. Would anyone change thier mind about him fighting VK if he demolishes Adamek? Would be a massively watched euro bout.
David Tua needs a few more fights before he is ready.
My favourite Frans Botha is more able and ready than Tua, Toney and Rahman. especially if Botha gets a ko win this weekend.

Golota would freeze, as he has in the past, and get KO'd quickly, imo.

The original poster is an unbelievable idiot.

Vitali came back after four years and fought for the title right away, without tuneup. against a guy who had one loss until then and had BEATEN Toney and Maskaev, whic are on that fantasy lits of opponents Vitali is "running" from.

Maskaev beat Vitali in the amateurs because Vitali was taken out of the fight by his onw corner with a hand injury. He was KO'd by Peter, who was a punching bag for Vitali. Toney lost to Peter twice and Gomez, Vitali's first defense would easily beat Toney at this point. Chambers and Povetkin are lined up to fight Wladimir.

What the **** are you trying to say here, Space cadet ?

And then you follow it up with

    :rofl

There must be a reason Vitali is in a hurry for fighting the next bum.

Truly the most stupid line of your whole post.

Spaceman is one of these 15 years old stupid germans who write crap about the Klitschkos 24/7. Yeah, he took the easy fight against Peter to avoid the great threat Maskaev, who just got TKOd by Peter. And the problem is, he doesn't even mean it funny, he IS that dumb.
