Vitali Klitschko is running from strong opposition again.

how old are you?? do you know anything about marketing?? I used the tyson-spinks fight as an example of HBO's marketing abilites. they promoted the fight to be the toughest of tyson's career, yet any boxing fan knew that spinks was another victim ripe for the taking. its the hype that drew in big numbers. im sure nobody wanted to pay big money to see yet another person knocked through the canvas in the first round by tyson. now if you dont understand what im trying to say, then this argument is pointless. its marketing that drew in big numbers for klitschko-arreola, not klitschko himself.

 

I'm not going to read through 9 pages to see if anyone pointed out the obvious. The thread starter left out Vitali was trying to make a fight with Haye and Haye pulled out. Convenient over site or just plain stupidity?

 

where's my evidence??? where do you live is the question??? have you been hiding in a cave until the fight happened? you couldn't watch HBO without seeing klitschko-arreola every other five minutes. or go to any boxing sites or sport sites without seeing "klitschko vs arreola" as the banner, buddy, dont try and act like there was no hype surrounding the fight. How else would people tune in to watch it? by going to ESB?? dude seriously, this is just common sense. if you dont know anything about promoting or marketing strategies, then this argument is just pointless, plain and simple.

 

For a person who finds the Klitschkos boring you sure waste a lot of time discussing them

dude, unless you've been paying attention to all the hype surrounding the fight then thats the only evidence i can provide for you. im not gonna comb google to find old flyers, banners, promo photos for you. you can do it yourself, can you?? did HBO NOT hype arreola to be the next big thing in the HW divison? does that NOT appeal to people that have been watching a bland division for such a long time?? will sports fans with HBO not tune into this fight to see for themselves if it lives up to the hype?? again, if you dont understand this your either just plain ignorant or deciding not to accept it. im willing to accept the latter or former. you dont get big numbers like that with a fighter that has very little fanbase in america, its the arreola hype that got the publics attention.
