But he was the man and Haye TKO'd him, Vitali fought a SHOT inactive Lewis and got TKO'd, so why does Haye get **** for getting a TKO over a past prime fighter, while Vitali gets praised for being TKO'd by a shot fighter?

Vitali was in the same situation as Haye was, Only Lennox was also inactive and out of shape and he still lost, Why is it a great accomplishment to lose to an old shot Lewis?

Haye would not even throw anything with power against Valuev. But you say he will against Klitschko who is faster and has more power and is 10 times the fighter Valuev is? Really? You seriously think that?

Haye will pot shot and throw 11.9 punches a round again backpeddle and hope to last the distance. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

If he was not going to fight a worthless slug like Valuev he sure as hell is not going to engage with Klitschko.

There is no way in hell Haye punches harder than Vitali you are a delusional moron!!! Vitali wins that fight by round 10 provided Haye is not running away all night!

    The statement :

doesn't hold water for that reason.

I had Foreman doing better than you did against Ali, but I also had him trailing at the time of KO.

The dude made SOME decent points, but his overall analysis was flawed.

Ali didn't wait for Foreman to "gas". He kicked his ****ing head in. That would be my point.

The only other dudes who impressed me at advanced ages in boxing were as follows:

    1. Foreman
    2. Holmes
    3. Duran
    4. Hopkins
    5. Archie Moore

    Note:

Vitali Klit is also doing a fine job, as well........ But I hope he does retire soon as the champ with all his skills still intact.....

That "Explosive" theory / term is overrated way too much......... Any top-notch fighter can show explosive power or rapid punching when pitted against low-level opposition....

I've noticed that when Haye was finally matched against a big man (Valubum) with LIMITED skills, Haye fought very timidly and only showed mere flashes; not explosions........

Now, that's not a total ding on Haye, cuz I've seen many others do that to when pitted against somebody they either fear or respect.......

I think the original poster does rather overstate the brilliance of Kevin Johnson but, at the same time, I agree that it's difficult to look brilliant against an opponent who wants to stay out of the line of fire for 12 rounds.

However, being a relative newbie here, I don't quite understand why people get so angry about...well, everything, I guess...

I think Vitali is a skilled fighter who has, more often than not, come out on top of the opposition he has faced. There are some people who question how well he'd have done in a different era but these are questions that can never be definitively answered (well, until we invent time travel!); he's beaten the contenders in his era, which is all anyone can do.

David Haye seems to be somebody who inspires great depths of emotion on either side here. He's either the fakest, cheapest, most cowardly, big mouthed nobody to set foot in the sport or he's the most skilled, most explosive saviour of the heavyweight division.

As far as I can see - and I like to think I'm fairly neutral in all of this (think of me as Switzerland) - a fight between Vitali and Haye would be intriguing.

Vitali has power. Haye has a questionable chin. Vitali is slowing down. Haye has a good combination of speed and power.

I think this will be the most intriguing match-up for Vitali since his fight with Lewis. In his last couple of fights he's fought a guy with no offense (Johnson), a guy with no speed or angles (Arreola) and a guy that was fairly mundane in all departments (Gomez).

Haye is faster than Johnson and has power. Yes, there's the question mark over his chin at heavyweight - but, for me, that's just something else to make it intriguing.

Is Haye fast enough to catch Vitali on the counter? What will happen when Haye lands one of his trademark rights? What will happen when Vitali lands one of those big rights over the top?

I don't believe the tedium of either fighter's last match should be considered grounds for a snooze-fest between these two. Valuev and Johnson are ugly opponents to fight (for very different reasons).

I hope this fight come off! :)
