Prob would have been a beast in the UFC or any sport all around good fighter the spinning back fist is the best :yep [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qWfqyNfxI0&feature=related[/ame]
His punches and movement are near identical to what they are now so clearly certain styles can work in boxing. I think for Vitali it works because he hits hard. Not sure if it would work with a guy who can't bang as hahard because it's obvious his power keeps people at bay. Plus look how big he is for kickboxing. People say he takes roids but just looking at the body it's clear he's starved himself all those years like Hopkins.
Vitali has to be one of the overall best combinations of toughness, power, skill, discipline, and sheer size in the history of the division. I am not saying THE best, but ONE OF the best overall total packages............... As far as great big fighters go, over 6 foot 5, Vitali is THE best, hands down, in history.
Wow he kicked the **** out of that guy, literally... Hard to believe it didn't end at the end of Round 3, when Vitali's opponent was clearly finished and no longer wanted to fight. The guy was out on his feet for almost the entire Round 4. Round 5 was just sad, as Vitali was getting a little pissed that this guy kept going down for 10 and the ref wasn't stopping the fight. Lotta cool clean blows in that Round though. Different culture and another time I guess.
I get the idea that Vitali just likes to fight. Shame he lost 4 years of his Prime. He would be a tough out for anyone in History with his height, Iron Chin, Stamina, and Lean Back style.
It is a shame he was out during what would have been his prime years......but when you STILL dominate everyone, even at 38-39, who can complain? :good One bad muther $#$#@@#, no question. Given his size, discipline, AND skill, I venture to say it'll be a long, LONG time before another like him comes along, again.
Vitali is the GOAT. Dominant beast. Never once was he beaten up and defeated convincingly. Ali, Louis, Tyson, Johnson, Dempsey, Lewis, Holyfield, Foreman all got whupped, beat up or stopped. Vitali only two losses came when his shoulder tore and the cuts vs. Lewis. He was winning both of those fights, like he was winning every other. He's 40 and still destroying. Look at Ali at 38 he was a shell of a shell. Vitali is the greatest HWT in history. Not respected or appreciated in America but still, THE GOAT. Ali, Louis, Johnson wish they could still do what Vitali does at 40! They wish they cuold go out like Vitali will, ON TOP AS A WINNER.
