I like Vitali, but he really should just retire. His list of stumblebum opponents is growing ever longer. He's actually tarnished his reputation and legacy in his last for fights, in my opinion.

The amount of Failsuck that this fight represents is huge, what has Briggs done to earn another title shot. Maybe Klitschko really is ducking James Toney, cause he can't be any worse than Briggs.

Can James even reach Vitali's chin with his fist?

But who else is there right now at HW w/ as much name recognition and is actually willing to fight Vitali?

While his chances are slim I'll be rooting for ole' meathead Briggs.

This should be a good fight. If Briggs comes in under 250, then he has a good chance of winning this fight.

It's true,,, Vitali sure has a way of lining up some second rate opponents. :huh

But to be fair, he did at least try to sign Niko and Haye didnt he?

As for Shannon "Wheezy" Briggs... I'd say he has a chance of hurting Vitali early and making things interesting.

But, VK is probably still good enough to avoid trouble for the first few rounds, and then grind Briggs down for a typical Klitschko late stoppage.

Vitali should be able to last the first few rounds with Briggs. When Briggs is tired, Vitali will be able to go to work and seal the deal. Wlad vs Briggs would have been more fun and interesting, but there's no way Briggs gets a voluntary defense against Wlad. Highish risk, no reward.

    So ends the Vitali era.

Briggs by first round KO, although if Vitali digs deep he could survive to second round.
