That's pretty much where I'm at too. Valuev says he'll do it, but his people won't back off of getting options on Vitali, which is ridiculous. Solis turned him down, and he'll have to fight Solis eventually anyway. Chambers is coming off a loss. Adamek isn't ready quite yet. Haye wouldn't sign for 50/50, which is also ridiculous. Chagaev is sitting on a mandatory for Haye, which is an easier fight for him. Povetkin won't fight a Klitschko yet. Boytsov won't fight a Klitschko yet. Sam Peter is tied up with Wlad. He just beat Arreola.

I mean, there are better fights out there than this one, but the other possibilities (Tony Thompson jumps to mind) literally bring NO name recognition or are guys who Wlad already beat the crap out of.

    Vitali TKOs him round 6.

The elder brother won't **** around and shy away from an exhausted, ready to be taken Briggs. He'll TAKE him.............out.

It has been happening over the course of 3-4 years, these 2 guys have cleaned out the division, even Thompson you mentioned, wlad beat him pretty easily.

Either they have already been beaten easily or they wont fight. IMO The current two challengers, Peter and Briggs are just about the best we can expect with the current level of ducking.

Yeah right! Haye fans are overjoyed at Vitali's pick because it give him the justification to selected a creampuff opponent, which he will. But here's the difference...Vitali is 39 and on his way out. His reputation is intact. Haye, on the other hand, has very little at heavy. Also, Haye never fights. Four months and no opponent? Obvious for anyone with a brain to see what he's doing...starving his fans for a fight so they'll be grateful when he takes on anyone.

Vitali is a 39-year-old champ on the verge of retirement, Queenie. Your 29-year-old beltholder just took on a 38 year-old washed use palooka named John Ruiz. Ruiz had had a total of 5 fights against tomatoe cans over five years. And the UK press praised Haye to high heavy for his gutsy victory. Please. The fact is that the only fighter at heavy who's actually behaving like a champ is Wlad.

And I agree with that. But let's be honest, one of the main problems is that his brother has beaten up virtually every heavyweight of note,:yep at least the ones that want to fight.

Wait...don't tell me. That was the time he threw a lucky punch in one of the most boring fights in the history or boring fights....A boring fight that he was losing... The guy is a steroid obsessed freak who hasn't beaten a top 30 fighter in 4 years.

Plus we'd get a dozen or so threads titled "After knocking out Vitali, where does Briggs rank in your HW ATG Top 10"
