Will he land? Probably Vitaly will.

If Sosnowski could, I'm sure Briggs could land a few.

True, but Briggs has to throw punches in order to land.

That's the problem with him. Most people expect Briggs to tire out after a few rounds. Those punches he does throw, which most likely won't be many, are gonna have to count. If not The Big Ukranian will cruise to victory, possibly stopping him. I consider Briggs to be a "live" underdog at least for a few rounds, or a Hail Mary punch, the very least. I'm thinking Briggs has to at least come in at 250 to have any chance to beat Vitali. The guy has a puncher's chance to say the very least. But, with Brigg's power, and with Vitali noticeably aging, anything could happen.

Vitali will knock Briggs out, no doubt about it. Vitali has rock chin, great defense, stamina, speed, skills, etc., Briggs will try to knock Vitali out in the first round, then collapse!

My only hope is that Briggs goes for the KO early and manages to catch an ageing VITLAY and put him on the back foot. Realistically Briggs will probably gas after about 4 or 5 rounds and be there for the taking at the halfway stage. It's whether VITLAY will open up enough to have Briggs on ***** street.

Its not a bad fight considering the other lunatics in the division (valuev and haye) in particular and being mission impossible trying to get them into the ring

I have never, ever seen the top competition duck a 39 year old fighter, but Haye, and Valuev have done exactly that.

This is why Vitali is fighting Briggs. As a former champion, and big puncher, Briggs is not a bad sub.

this is a sorry matchup, there are a hell of a lot more heavyweights who would have a better chance at victory. for thos thinking briggs has ANY chance what so ever, his two best opponents in the last, what ten years? have been lyakovich and ibragimov, he lost 23 rounds in these fights. he will do fuk all against vitali. vitali has not been floored as a pro, briggs will not get near him, nor will he trouble him.

IMO briggs would have more chance vs wlad, as he has the kinda style that could replicate sanders defeat over wlad. as in he could try bumrushing him. vs vitali he wont win a round and he wont land a meaningful punch.

it is a shame because vitali doesnt have many fights left, they shouldnt be wasted on **** like this. i suppose the history books might look kinder on the result due to vitalis age and briggs run of first round kayos, but the truth is it is a mismatch.

Common miss conception. Briggs was behind in Lyachovic fight but only a couple of points. The last knockdowns could have been enough to give decision to him even if Sergei could have continued.

not a chance. he even said in a later interview, he knew he was behind, but if people wanted him to fight for 12 rounds, they better pay him more money.

he was losing that fight badly and with the knockout he would most certainly have lost a nigh on shut out.

Yes he was behind but he wasn’t easily outboxed and loosing every round like you claimed.
