As opposed to resume!? H2H is purely fictional whereas a proper resume is a more concrete parameter to determine one's place in history. How anyone could value H2H over resume is beyond me.
Sports which are not empirical like boxing or soccer are not to be treated like athletics as progress cannot be measured properly. Sure, if you watch a 60's football tape you realize there's no way a world class team of the 1960s would make it to the half time bell without concedeing 15 goals against a modern team but that's not the point. Pele, Puskas, Di Stefano, Muller, Beckenbauer etc. are still considered better than most players nowadays because of what they achieved when it mattered.

    Yes it is.

He might be a tough match up for most men but he is never gonna be regarded as the greatest.

Don't be a smart ass. You know what I mean. That is, everyone has their own opinion, and they are entitled to that.

:thinkI didn't get that from his post Malden. I just think he doesn't agree with my opinion on this and maybe doesn't like it (possibly because i have Lewis in my avatar).:rasta
Which is fair enough. Because i don't think anyone in their right minds would class Vitali has the greatest. :deal

I argue that he is an ATG, and climbing with every fight. If he fights on a couple of more years and adds some good fights, he could be top ten based on his longevity and other well-discussed unique accomplishments.

But the quality wins are just not there to be considered the best, or even top five, and he is not likely to find the guys.
