    I said top 6.

Ali, Louis and Holyfield clearly rank above him, Lewis squeaks past by a couple of wins.

No way does Holmes, Vitali, Bowe, Liston, Dempsey or Marciano have a better resume than Tyson.

Foreman and Wladmir are up for debate.

Heavyweight boxing is full of guys with left hooks.

I'd say Holyfield has one o the best left hooks at heavyweight.

Holmes doesn't have a better resume?? Half of Tyson's big victories were Holmes's cast offs....

tysons has the edge in his early career, he was undisputed and MUCH younger racking up the big wins.

But in total his resume is weaker than holmes, because tyson threw away half his career.

How is Tysons resume weaker than Holmes?

Tyson beat the fighters Holmes refused to face, he unified the belts, something Holmes didn't do, he cleaned out his division, something Holmes didn't do. He also beat alot of guys Holmes did, he beat the guy who beat Holmes and then wiped the floor with Holmes as well.

Tyson did throw his career away but his resume is still better than Holmes.

Just like Danny Williams wiped the floor with Tyson, at least Holmes was competative against a prime Holyfield when Tyson was left staggering around like a drunk against a war torn Evander. We can all play those games Asser.....

Age has fcuk all to do with anything, Tyson was physically fully mature at that age. He was as heavy as he near enough ever was when he defeated Berbick.

    Holmes vs Tyson weighed 225
    Holmes vs Holyfield weighed 233
    Holmes vs Mercer weighed 233.

Of course, age has nothing to do with it.

What does a godforsaken ****stain like you know anyway?

Tyson's resume is not better than Holmes.
And no one "cleaned out the division", there's always someone else to fight, like, say, Douglas and Holyfield.

Is that the excuse for the history of fighters who ducked another fighter?

Come on Magoo. Lewis clearly said he would re-match. He tried to make other matches ( jones and Johnson ), but when the WBC ordered him to re-match or lose your tile, Lennox's words were found to be false. The money offers were there. All Lewis had to do was sign!

Agreed.. Unless we're talking decade specific, which in the case of the 80's Tyson should rank higher but only within that time frame.

He came about as close to doing so as anybody and certainly defeated everyone that mattered up until 1989-1990. If I were to make an exception, Tim Witherspoon is probably the one name he never fought.

Maybe it is, but not in Lewis's case who actually fought and BEAT the fighter in question.

So how does this hurt Lewis's legacy or help Vitali's?
