I think there were about 5 or 6 names that you could probably rate as being equal. Sanders, Hide, Peter, Williams, Johnson and Adamek are all fairly close. Good wins for sure but not anything to go bat sh!t over when talking about how great someone was. If Vitali cleaned out the whole division by beating Byrd, Lewis, Ruiz, Valuev and his brother Wladimir, then reigned for several years unbeaten THEN I could understand giving him all these props in head to head fantasy fights and a high rating. But none of that ever happened.

Lewis best PRIME guy he fought was Tommy Morrison.

He had his chance to beat both Lewis and Byrd and failed. I don't blame him for the injuries he sustained in those fights but that's just life. And you can't give a man credit for beating guys he never fought at all.. For the record I view Vitali Klitscko as being a very formidable opponent. He was big, durable, and had some boxing skill. But his resume is very thin considering how often he's favored over other fighters. Had Lewis been five years younger, more active and better prepared he would beaten the living dog sh!t out of Klitschko... Some people refuse to see it that way but the fact that Vitali found a way to lose to Lennox while he was at his worst only points to the obvious that he'd do even worse had Lewis been at his best.... Common sense..

Why don't we start with Vitali and work our way from there?

And had Vitali been more experinace ,like a REMATCH he would have won in all likleyhood. What ifs,i do them well....the thing is many boxing insiders called Lewis out on his run away pancake character, not only me,including his OWN trainer Steward begging him to fight him again.

Why work from there.you stated he fought a prime guy,so you are in agreement then after Vitali,it is Morrison then correct?

I don't know if you're trolling or if you're not real well versed on the heavyweight scene of Lewis's era. I suspect probably the former. But no way was Tommy Morrison the best or even the second best fighter Lewis beat and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who will agree with you that he was.

You are avoiding the question, who was his best prime fighter he fought prior to Vitali? I think you will know that answer.

Klitscho had over 200 amateur fights and 32 bouts in the pros. he was a former world titlist and already around 32 years old to boot. How much more seasoning should he really have needed to take out a guy who was ripe for the picking? The fact that he couldn't speaks volumes about his abilities. As for Lewis being criticized for not fighting him again doesn't mean much to me.. Fight fans and critics will say anything to get whatever they want on their television screen.. Doesn't erase the fact that he already FOUGHT Vitali and DEFEATED him... Klit fans and Lewis haters weren't going to be satisfied until they saw Vitali pound lennox's face into the canvas even if it took 3 or 4 meetings and a 50 year old Lewis to make that dream come into fruition.

Oh so now its PRIOR to Vitali? Okay. I'll make a list and wait for you to change the criteria again..

    David Tua
    Michael Grant
    Shanon Briggs
    Razor Ruddock
    Andrew Golata

These were all prime fighters who were better than Morrison or ones that I would certainly pick prime for prime to beat him in the ring.. I'll also ad that even past prime versions of Holy and Tyson were comparable or better than any version of the Duke. P.S. If you're thinking about commenting on Morrison's half ass win over Ruddock, well note that that wasn't a prime Ruddock.
