I wouldn't say that. Vitali priced himself out against Valeuv. Initially agreed on 1 mil , then wanted 2 million.

He fought Charr instead of Haye.

He held the WBC belt hostage for over a year before giving it up rather than defend it against Stiverne.

He wouldn't fight Rahman or re-match Byrd.

Mendoza, You're either stupid or biased take your pick. Lewis won the first fight. They discussed a rematch. Both Vitali and Emmanuel Stewart said his spouse/mother put ice on the idea. In fact his wife said it's me or boxing and his mother was also dead set against it.

Now if this was coming from only Lewis I could understand your skepticism but his came from Vitali himself for fvcks sakes.

    Here's the article.

    http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2010/mar/10/vitali-klitschko-lennox-lewis-mum

Here's an excerpt from the article.

plans for an eagerly anticipated rematch never materialised, with Klitschko yesterday offering an interesting explanation for why that was the case. "Lennox promised me but his mum decided he wasn't going to fight," said the 38-year-old ahead of the Laureus World Sports Awards in Abu Dhabi. "He invited me to London, without managers. He said he wanted to talk just together. I came to the room and his mum is there. We talked for two hours and his mum was looking at me and scanning me. "After that I went away and he called me a couple of hours later and said, 'Sorry, but no'. I felt it wasn't his decision, his mum decided. I tried to change his decision, but it's difficult.

Now unless you're prepared to called Vitali a liar, you really should grow up and rather than have an opinion that's not supportable, let the evidence determine what transpired and live with the results.

As long as this article is legit, the issue is crystal clear as to why a rematch never transpired.

The actual truth is Lewis did not retire until he saw what Vitali did to kirk Johnson in 2 rounds, then calling him out again.

    His " Mother'...end thread! :patsch

    Read this.

This was the fight Lewis was after which would have made ANY fight with an idiot named Klitchko look like chump change in comparison. He agreed to fight Klitchko in December 2003, as his FINAL fight, because he knew the big money disappeared along with the Tyson rematch. As a warm up for the December fight he agreed to fight Johnson in the June of that year. He pulled out injured so Lewis agreed to bring the Klitchko fight forward 6 months.

The guy had been talking about retiring after the Tyson win in June 2002, but hung around believing the Tyson rematch would happen as Tyson needed the money even more than Lewis wanted it. Hence the lawsuit against King.

That is the reality of the situation, despite the garbage you and Auntie Bug spew out.

Here is another unpalatable truth for you fools. An old, unprepared Lewis opened up Klitchko's face like a cows kunt. There is a reason this happened, and that reason is your idiot giant hero wasn't good enough for the job. He had his chance and fukked it, so him and his pathetic fanboys crying like schoolgirls over the matter is irrelevant nonsense.

As for the claim he would fight Klitchko again for 100 mill, its a shame the Klitchko's haven't got anyone to back up their mouths with the cold hard cash then isn't it, if they were that sure of a win in a rematch?

The ONLY thing that counts and ALWAYS will is TKO - 6.

Vitali had been a pro for 7 years at the time of the Lewis fight.

He was 33 fights into his 47 fight career.

    He was hardly green.

If he was green, why didn't he step up earlier?

He fought in a star studded era yet all he could find was Bean, Norris, Donald and Purrity to feast on?
