it could be that he doesnt have the legs or the stamina and be bull rushed....his whole game plan was being so tall and lean that he could fire off from miles away and us eht erigth hand to knock his man back.

smaller guys gave him more trouble as he used to literelly bend over to hit them...thus not getting the leverage and releasing the sharper sweeter crosses.

he has always been a sloppy fighter but has kind of flashes of brilliances.

I'm already saying that Heavy, I dont need Vitali's help. If Vitali does win against Peter, and it's done in a devastating fashion, I will have no problem in making Vitali the number one heavyweight, he did something Wlad couldnt do, to a much greener Peter.

 

I guess fat Sam has a REMOTE puncher's chance. Vitali tends to pull straight back to avoid shots, and if Sam is aiming for the back of his head (highly likely) then there is a chance a punch or two could land on Vitali's jaw....


far likelier though, is that Peter is too scared to throw bombs and gets brutally KO'd.

I think Vitali can win this one easily, right now there are no threats for him at the HW division, back then HW fighters were almost twice as good as know.

 

Back when? The only great fighter VK ever fought was Lewis...The guy is good but lets not distort the facts... VK is not a power puncher, he is all about volume, he needs to land frequently to get the knock out. Peter has grown a lot as a fighter as well. I these guys will have a close competitive fight...whether it is a knock out or a decision.

 

How come every clip i see of Peter training he is so ****ing slow and lazy with it.

He knocked Kirk Johnson out in a round and a half. Wasn't too much volume to that KO. Kirk's only other loss, besides the Vitali KO was a disqualification to Ruiz. To summarize, in his pro career against quite a few good opponents, Kirk had never even been beaten before, much less, KOed .........in a round and a half, as Vitali did to him.

Klitschko sent Danny Williams to the canvas in round one, I think it was, and this is the same Danny Willliams who was taking many flush Tyson shots in his previous fight, and never fell.

Only fighter to ever stop Larry Donald. Not to mention having what is one of the best KO percentages in heavywieght history. That comes from POWER as much as it does volume. If he were only a volume puncher, he'd have a record full of decisions, not KOs. Rewatch the Willaims fight where Vitali catches him with one left hook that sends Willaims's body spinning around before falling. LOL

Vitali is one of the hardest punchers to come along in years. His power and strength is probably on par with that of Lewis.

I have said all along that a fit Vitali should have no problem beating Peter.

Peter is a journeymen and Vitali is great against journeymen. It's against elite fighters that he gets exposed. :yep

 

Klitzchko looking sharp still think Peter is going to take him.

 

so byrd is an elite fighter? why didn't he give vitali a rematch then? because he knew he had no chance whatsoever besides vitali injuring himself during the fight again, which is very unlikely. and what's all this bitching about a fighter being stopped on cuts? that doesn't match the definition of the word "exposed". 'henry cooper exposed because he lost to ali on cuts' - i never heard that...

 

I agree. That slashing right hand changed that fight tremendously-no way did it expose Vit's lack of boxing prowess. That was a lucky punch that saved the day and also saved Lewis from being grossly exposed that night..
Lewis was well on his way to receiving a gradual beat down :tired and probably would have been stopped by the 8th round.
Vitaly--without the cut--was all wrong for Lennox and Lennox knew it, hence no rematch.
