the most hilarious thing about the fight was how many people on here and in the press thought it would be a short fight and that Klitschko had a Glass Jaw and would not be able to take Lennox's pressure. Well we all found out how good of a Chin Vitali had and that he had heart.

See Foreman, Merchant, and Lampley's comments after the fight. It was the last true exciting Heavyweight fight we have seen. Hopefully Klitschko and Peter can put on an exciting fight to breath some life back into the Division.

Damn that was one hell of a night in boxing. I remember I was taking time off boxing after Lewis beat Tyson and this fight just brought me back. Really awesome night and great moments discussing this event in hop of a rematch.

It was a short fight! Lewis won TKO round 6! And the fight could be stopped because of the cut (causedy by the fist of Lewis) in the 3th round.

Klitschko would have won that fight and everyone knows it.

VITKLIT would have had to give up his eye for victory, he lost the ability to protect it (if he even had it to begin with), as Lewis was hitting his eye at will.

He would have been physically destroyed before 12 rounds elapsed.

Lewis was lucky he got that cut. That was probably one the most lucky things to ever happen to him in his career.

    Even if it was luck...

...VITKLIT couldn't protect it, Lewis was landing at will. The rest of his life would have been f*cked had the fight continued...Calvin Brock can't see out of one eye now, VITKLIT should be lucky he got out in one piece...well last time anyways.

    Go Peter.

Absolutly right. Vitali should be lucky that the doctor made this great job.
You can lost on cuts, injuries..... This is a part of boxing.

But Lewis got stronger after round 4 and Vitali can thank the doctor that he stopped the fight.

If a boxer can not continue by injuries or other physical problems, the boxer lost by TKO.

Lewis was a great Champion and fight against better opponents than Vitali ever seen in the ring.

And if Peter injuried Vitali and Vitali have to quit than Peter will win, nothing else.

If Lennox was "lucky" to land a punch that damaged his opponent then land punches over and over on the same spot to worsen the damage to the point where his opponent was stopped, then every stoppage that ever happened in the history of boxing was "lucky".

Five years after that fight, every Vitali thread still goes 40 pages.

I wonder if Lewis and Vitali are aware that they opened a can of worms when they fought that night.

A can of worms we still can get the lid on!

But this kind of what would have happened controversial type of fight is what makes for spirited debate / opinion exchange. :good
