McCline has very Heavy punch, at 6'6 270 he's far from feather fisted as you suggest. McCline has knocked down many good Heavyweights in his career, yet his lack of stamina and killer instincts have prevented him knocking out most of them. McCline had floored these former champs and top 5 oppenents, Brock, Bryd, Grant, Briggs, and Peter, not a bad list for someone with a lack of power.

Peter had a bad night, and still managed to win by outboxing his oppenent through 12, thats not even close to being as bad as getting knocked out by Purrity, Brewster, and Sanders, the Brewster and Sanders losses, Wlad was the same age when he experienced his setbacks.

You shouldnt be so quick to judge, every good to great fighter has a bad night, I cant think of fighter off hand that hasnt.

The fighters of the 90's would of murdered these lame ass fighters, 96' Tyson would of had a field day with glass chinned Wlad, the staredown at the press confrence would of been enough to make Wlad go weak in the knees.

My mistake, Klit nuthugger. In response to your other post, Peter has knocked out Maskaev, something another big hitter in Rahman couldnt do. Peter has a ton of power, Emanuel Steward believes he's the heaviest puncher in the division, what more proof do you want?

As far as Peter not being able to knockout Wlad, I have been over this with you and many others, Peter was extremely green, just turned 25 when the fight happend. Wlad fought a very catious fight and at times looked down right scared, especially the times when he was in panic attack mode and turning his back to his oppenent frequently. When your oppenent clinches 97 times, theres not much you can do. I give Wlad credit for doing what he had to, to win, but Peter deserves credit as well, flooring his man 3 times and forcing Wlad to hold onto him every chance he got.

 

So you agree the fight should have been stopped in the 4th?

Whatever, show me where I even suggested that you thought the fight shouldn't have been stopped, that you thought there should have been a rematch, or that you didn't think Lewis was a great fighter.
