He had plenty left in the tank. Loma, Korobov, Usyk and Beterbiev with their 300 + amateur fights (Loma 400 +) have become very injury prone in their early-mid thirties and have lost a step or two but Gvozdyk still looked very fresh and like he had a lot left to give. Shame he retired.

He could easily pursue a career in modeling or broadcasting but he's actually very intelligent and has a law degree so he can go down that route too

Even if he is using momentum, thats still super impressive for a man his age AND weight,

I'd be more impressed if he did 20 real pullups. Still, he's in tremendous shape.

in many ways, staying in great shape as you age is easier, because you (should) have a much better understanding of your body and what to put in it compared to when you were young.
also, when you're young it's easy to take your health and well-being for granted.
being consciously aware of how important it is to look after yourself is a great thing to develop.

I do not know what the last statement meant.
But as for the first comment, while I did not say how many I though could do it, let me quantify things.
50 kipping pull-ups with good form, FULL range of motion.
Forget that Vitali could have done at least a few more.

Men will tend to be much better than woman.
But even among men, no way on earth that it is 5% of men.
And that is regardless of weight.
Fuhgettibout age-or take the most prime age you like.
If you then correct for weight, make those who weigh less than 240 lbs. do proportionately MORE kippers to show the same absolute pulling strength...

It is not 1% of the male, whatever prime age population that can match that.
Those who are doing 50 kippers are overwhelmingly gonna be no more than the mid 100s in pounds.
With some smaller number being closer to 200 lbs.
A few out liars like Vitali who are his size.

In your scale of measurement, I am saying that most who *can* do this weigh around 70-80 kg-or less.
    Sound right to you?

Are kippers realy more than two & a half times easier than regular pull ups?
Thay are much easier, but IF someone does a full ROM, I would be surprised if they are that much easier.

I have pretty much most of the time keep myself in great shape, have been training various martial arts through the years, as well as other sports, i pretty much sport my whole life.
And never ever been close to do even 20 pull ups. One of the main reason ofc is my focus never really been in going in that rep side, by also my weight. I'm 32 right now, but pretty much from 23-24 years old, i have never been weighted less than 110kg.
It's one thing to be 60-70-80kg. and to do pull ups, and completely another to be 90, 100, and 108kg.
It's way way harder the more you weight. Also there is another thing, and that is how long your arm is, the longer your arm, the harder every movement is going to be. And we already know that Vitali is very tall with very long arms. :D
When i see the thread i expected him to do them on like 2-3 turns.
This is amazing feat that not much athlete could do, at their best year, and this is absolute ridiculous at being 50 years old. Just insane.
And yeah he is using momentum and we can call them a kipping pull ups, but his form is perfect, and he could have probably go for more, which is insane.
Also have in mind that martial arts athlete are usually doing explosive exercise, not the regular version we all know and used to.

Great shape for his age. He certainly lives a fun-filled life. Mayor of Kiev must have its privileges' I suppose.
