26th September at the Staples Centre in LA :happy:happy:happy

    So who takes this fight?

I'm sure everyone but Teddy Atlas will pick Vitali but is there any chance of Arreola pulling off the upset?

Vitali is slipping, his reflexes weren't what they were. He's 38 years old and he's had two fights in 4 years. One of them was against a punching bag (Sam Peter). Is Arreola the guy to expose any of these 'weaknesses'?

Arreola may be a fat ****er but he's game and will take the fight to Vitali. I think this could be a very entertaining fight with Arreola having some early success before Vitali ****s him up in the mid rounds.

Arreola has a chance without a doubt.

I will plump for a late Vitali TKO (what a suprise) after Arreola makes it quite an entertaining affair. I don't give a **** about him being fat, I find him exciting to watch:D. I also don't buy into the 'Vitali is old' theory- he was undermotivated against Gomez and was 'effective' against Peter. To quote lil' Marie, 'He'll show the last thing to age on a person is his heart':yep.

That's right: 'Rights for Fat Shites'. Seriously, every other thread about Arreola on the general is about Arreola being fat and it's gone well beyond being a tedious subject of discussion now. I will not judge a man by the size of his tyre- only by his actions.

EDIT: I have removed the wink as I've determined it looked naff and was inappropriate:D. Curse the wink and it's friend 'the blink'.

It'll be interesting thats for sure! Arreloa will at least take the fight to Vitali, pressure him a little and hopefully not stand infront of him all night. Ill be cheering for Arreloa come fight night anyway. Im sick of the brothers Klit!

    Klitschko easily.

Very good heavyweight vs glorified clubfighter.

I like Arreola, he has a fighter mentality, nice puncher too

God damn it though he should not be so fat

At the higher levels even the heavies are athletes and that's why he will lose to Vitali he'll be outworked and have his head jabbed off, while he plods around waiting for an opening that never arrives

Klitschko probably but you never know, its the heavyweights. I have been far from impressed with the new 'old' Vitali. His movements look restrained, he can't time his punches properly, he looks tired after a few rounds.

This is one of the few fights I'll pay attention to the weigh in. If Arreola is in some kind of shape I expect his pressure could well cause Vitali problems, considering Gomez's plodding made him look awkward, and Gomez is a natural counterpuncher.

I think will be entertaining to say the least - which is a plus for the hw division. But I got Vitali before the 8th.

I reckon Sky will show this too.........................forever the optimist I am

I'll probably plump for Vitali late on. I'd pick Haye to beat Vitali over Wlad funnily enough. Arreola isn't as fast and doesn't move as well as haye for me. Entertaining with both getting hurt several times, with Vitali to stop Arreola late on. If we saw a fit slimmer version of Arreola then who knows but i'd still probably edge Vitali even then

not that they have got Haye, i think they will definately show this. Haye vs either Klitschko on box office is going to be their big earners, so they need to build up those fights.

What say we have a sweepstake on the Brit forum as to what weight Arreola will come in

seriously for me thats the 64,000 pound (pun intended) question, What weight will Big Cris come in at? He's been getting too relaxed in his last several fights because he knew he had a small ring to deal with. But I bet anything that Vitali has negotiated a large ring in the contract so Arreola better get serious and use 250 lbs as the benchmark. Anything noticeably under 250 like 40 to 42 would be a good thing. But something tells me the stress and big stage will have Cris at 60ish.

I hope i'm wrong but fighters with his mentality ain't going anywhere, I can't help to think about the dichotomy between the Buster douglas that beat Iron Mike and the Buster Douglas that laid an egg against Holyfield in his first defence. Clearly this was an "all eyes on me" moment and Buster Douglas showed how he dealt with fame and pressure by having a pilsbury dough boy mentality and waist line. Arreola needs that fitness guru Mackie Shilstone or at least a come to jesus conversation with Bernard Hopkins.

really i can't see how arreola has a chance in this fight, might be a replay of the beatdown our very own Danny Williams endured, I'll be rooting for Chris Nipple though.
