A very old Tony Tubbs supposedly giving the Klitschko's a hard time in sparring made me think. How do the following heavyweights do against Vitali?

Try to provide some elaboration and details.

Let say the very best version of each of these 80's heavyweights shows up.

    Razor Ruddock
    Michael Dokes
    Greg Page
    Bonecrusher Smith
    Frank Bruno
    Tim Witherspoon
    Pinklon Thomas
    Carl Williams
    Trevor Berbick

He would beat most, but lose to some. These guys were very talented. Vitali never beat anyone as good as these guys.

I could see Tubbs, Dokes, and Witherspoon beating him, assuming that the best versions show up and not the out-of-shape ones

I think he beats them all.

I really don't see those guys having the conditioning to deal with the size and movement of Vitali. And none of them are exactly a twinkletoes in the footwork department so I cannot picture them walking him down or using their legs enough to get them in the proper position to get their punches off. All the while, they are getting hit and getting hit by a guy that is far busier than they. They won't cope well with the physical size disadvantages facing Klitschko.

    Vitali destroys all of them.

The Klitschkos would dominate any era.

He should beat all of them...or at least he should be favored to beat all of them.

Personally I would give Ruddock the best shot, then Spoon & Smith....Some could give him a good fight, but I wouldn't pick one of them.

Tyson beat him, Page and Witherspoon are only other ones who could compete with Klitschko of that 80's group. I would give an in shape Greg Page a better chance than Withspoon. Page could have been great, his being with bob Arum, who had control over lighter divisions, instead of Don King, who owned every top heavyweight plus Holmes, hurt him.

Berbick would b a steady uncompetitive beatdown like Vitali likes . He either stops him late due 2 a 2 big accumulation of damage or due 2 cuts . Less probably , Berbick loses a wide decision .
Aside from Berbick , d rest should b expected 2 win against them all mostly by stoppage . Each 1 of these men , except from Thomas was stopped during or near his prime by a lesser h2h fighter than Vitali Klitschko . Could Tubbs repeat what Byrd managed against Vitali ? maybe .

It would be tough to go 9-0 here, as this is heavyweight boxing. I would favor Vitali in every match, and would say with confidence he wins no less than 7 here.

Vitali would either out work, or stop any many on the list. Vitali has never come close to being out pointed on the cards, nor has he been floored by a punch. His stamina, work rate, ring smarts, defense, and power complement his towering size and long reach.

The 80's crew had trouble with staying focused, and staying in shape.

But vitali hasn't even dominated his own era, let alone any other!

I like Vitali to take all of them prime for prime in 1 of fights. Had he had this as an accumulation I think Ruddock or Tim have the best chance and Vitali would lose to at least one.

On a skill level I think Vitali fits in nicely with that crop of fighters. Realistically hes not much better and a lot of those guys could actually mix it up a little better than Vitali has ever shown he could so I think Vitali is competitive with those guys and could realistically be beaten by half of them.
