I knew you would use that excuse. Theres a difference between prime TV in the 70's and 80's and HBO now. Holmes would not be on HBO if he was champion today. HBO is desparate for a heavyweight star and it doesnt matter what his ethnicity is, thats why we have a fat Mexican that resembles F. Murray Abraham and cant stay in shape as the star attraction on HBO.

Vitali would still win, it might last a bit longer though.

Sanders doesn't have the boxing skill or stamina to beat Vitali except by a lucky punch, and Vitali has a strong chin so that's unlikely too.

Safety first? Vitali almost never clinches or covers up. He spends the least amount of time on the ropes of any ring magazine heavyweight champ I can think of. VK is there throwing lots of punches. If the other guy goes into a shell because he's 1 ) Getting hit too often, or 2 ) Finds Vitali difficult to reach, that is not his fault.

If you think being much bigger, and fighting with the style Vitali uses is the best way to win rounds and produce a staggering stoppage rate, just say so. Because the fact remains he has done exactly that.

Not buying the competition level excuse, because as I pointed out even the best champs seem to have their hands full with lesser guys.

when was corrie sanders ever good let alone had a prime?? didnt he get completely sparked out in the first round by a complete nobody early in his career?? i swear klitschko nuthuggers blow their idols comp waaaayyyy out of proportion. point of the matter is, we saw what happened wen vitali fought a legit HW on his worst day, and he came out looking like he got mauled by a cougar.

    Lewis TKO 6 vitali

Yeah, but at least this is a reasonable thread topic. Normally you have morons comparing the limited Klits to Ali ...

On each fighter's best day .. Corrie Sanders is simply a better puncher, far more fluid and natural, and he knocks the plodding Vitali into unconsciousness - after Vitali does his Wlad impression and runs across the ring, flailing in panic trying to escape the straighter cleaner puncher.

You forgot 3 ) Because he was ****ing awful to start with, and hand-picked to make VITLAY look good.

VITLAY tried stepping it up once, didn't like it much, liked the medical bills even less and has avoided doing so again ever since :yep

Not 2 mention Lewis had a lot of respect 4 Sanders nicknaming him "the Sniper" 4 a reason. People need 2 go 2 youtube 2 watch some of his early fights when he was in shape b4 talking out of their ass!

I seem to remember a certain Dempsey getting sparked out in 1, a certain Johnson sparked out in 3, a certain Walcott getting sparked out a couple times early... it happens.
