Because he didn’t look too good against Lyle not even Jimmy Young Who rocked him multiple times and dropped him, so too did Ali who both manhandled and stopped him in a one sided fight.

This would have been one of the easiest fights of George’s career. He took out more mobile targets than Vitali and if you’re a concrete-footed lump like Vitali, it makes no difference how good your chin is because Foreman is going to obliterate it.

Vitali is simply too easy a target for a killer like Foreman.

I would say the Lyle, Young and Ali fights proved GF was as easy a target as your making out VK to be. I have to ask did you know that the difference in size between GF and VK is greater than Ali vs Patterson? Did you know that Foreman was beaten by Jimmy Young who lost to a 10-0 Ossie right after beating Foreman?

What movers? Peralta an end of the road LHW? also why would Foreman taking out moving targets even matter? He was beaten up at every range - Jimmy Young stood there and belted him, Ali in front of him on the ropes… KO’d him (after man handling GF) and Ron Lyle could’ve done the job, sloppily fighting on even terms… Why I ask would Vitali change his style to suit Foreman? Based on the Norton fight? Based on the Frazier fight?

 

I I didn’t say Vitali was some “Great” (neither is GF) just that he’d have beaten Foreman. Question for you when was GF ever the best HW in the world? Many would debate Vitali was at one time, but neither were clearly the best. Based on what I’ve seen of 70s GF? I’d say one of the biggest differences between him and Samuel Peter is one is in HD.

You act as if that means anything as if “ATG” “Great” is some classification of Pokemon or video game term. it’s all forum talk for lists. Did Foreman have an “ATG” win on his resume when he beat Frazier? Bowe against Evander? No. We aren’t arguing for a place on a “ATG” List we are arguing who would win in a bout. VK would be fighting one of the smallest men he ever fought in GF (6-3, 217-20) and the Cruiser weight sized GF would be fighting like a big fighter since he was huge in his era. He pushed and shoved smaller fighters and then hit them with wide punches and he didn't bother with much defensive skill. VK would stop him in the first 4 rounds easily, depending on how quickly GF fatigues from trying to fight a much bigger man who stays busy and is constantly hitting him with punches.

These "Full Fight Write Up" fantasies are funny to read, but not to be taken seriously. This one reads like Lennox Lewis - VK, the last one like GF - Lyle, the next will probably be Mike Tyson vs. GF and surprise, it will read like GF vs. Joe Frazier. The myth of 70s GF continues with his adoring fans who apparently only watch his fights with nightclub singer Frazier (unmotivated, out of shape, under trained) and Ken Norton. They should watch the Peralta, Ali, and Young fights to see what happens when the fight is not a two round blow out. GF never fought anybody similar to VK. VK is all wrong for a small guy who tries to fight as the bigger man.
