Vitali dominated Lewis, and Lewis was KTFOed by Rahman only because he were young, inexperienced, opened, gassed out and with a young chin (yes, chin prime is different from body prime)

That are the facts. Before he wants to fight Maskaev and than Brock, after the WBC said "no" he retired.

The proposed Vitali Rahman fight was going to be Vit's biggest ever purse, he was gutted when he had to pull out with injury. Says so in the Klit movie.

He stayed retired for four years! Are some of you guys telling me he did that as a ploy to avoid Rahman of all people? I honestly just think he was hurt. And to do anything with a pain in your knee sucks.

Vitali was terrified of Rahman. I don't know why, but he was. Rahman retired Vitali. Perhaps Vitlai saw in Rahman a reminder of his greatest failure, for Rahman managed to beat Lewis, something Vitali could not do.
It makes no sense, but feeling rarely do; and when it came to Hasim Rahman, the normally ice cold Vitali looked into the eyes of the beast and he blinked.

The entire Rahman campaign was one of the finest hours for Don King. You rarely heard him talk so much smack with so much fire in his eyes.

Well the one that "put his 7 iron away to batter Wlad" was 224 lbs for that fight. He was 225 for Rahman. :? And Sanders looked arguably sharper in the Wlad fight. How many rounds did Rahman win before landing his Hail Marry miracle punch? What happened in the rematch?

Vitali's dream as teenager was to fight Mike Tyson one day for ****'s sake, why would he be scared to fight Rahman? Vitali by TKO.

This is a true story, if you really were in to the sport and had followed it more than a couple of months you would have heard it before....

    From Boxingtalk.net:

Klitschko now honing in on Calvin Brock!
    By G. Leon

July 01, 2005 - Fortunately, Oleg Maskaev appears to be out of the Vitali Klitschko mix. The new frontrunner to challenge for Klitschko's WBC heavyweight championship on September 24, is undefeated up and comer Calvin Brock. Brock is certainly a step up from Maskaev, but with fights like James Toney, Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster and the Rahman-Barrett winner out there, boxing fans still have reason to be disappointed with Big Brother. We will continue to keep you updated so stay tuned to our front page

I may be off here, but wasn't Don King pushing for a WBC interim championship bout for Rahman because of the series of delays by Vitali. And that's when Vitali asked for an interim voluntary defense vs. Brock. The WBC allowed Vitali the fight (which never happened) and stipulated that the winner of Rahman vs. Barrett and Vitali vs. Brock have to fight each other.

Been a long time ago but that's how I recall it.
