Its a funny and perceptive reply from Joey, but does not tell the whole truth.Foreman was making the fight, just as Robinson was utilising every inch of the ring against the bigger man and to some extent show boating, so expended more energy than the conservative boxing Maxim.

Young is a pretty slick boxer. However he's not going to win many rounds here. Vitali is too active, too big, and too powerfull. Best guess is Vitali stops Young late. The fight might look a bit like Klitschko vs. Donald.

True but do certain styles need better condition than others...guys like Marciano,Frazier and most of the wear em down killers needed that extra stamina....I favor a counterpunching style and I could not fight at that swarming pace, not for more than 3 rds but when a swarmer is on you and you are a boxer, you need condition for your legs and sticking and moving...either way its a battle of attrition

    Interesting. A slick boxer vs. a guy who's essentially a 6'8" long-distance swarmer. I don't see Young winning this.

Young via points. Mainly to annoy the Klitschko fans.

Maxim was right on the money with that quote.... Young did most of the running and in my experience, that expends more energy then being able to follow someone around at your own pace and being the bigger hitter.

Yeah, if Young beat Foreman and might have beaten Ali.....someone might connect the dots and come to the conclusion that Vitali beats both Ali and Foreman post 1975.

but you could argue that SRR or Foreman they expended the energy them selves and should have fought a more conservative fight

Interesting people making VITLAY V Donald comparisons but no-ones mentioned the Byrd fight.

I reckon Young makes VITLAY quit inside of 8 rounds. He could hit VITLAY in the shoulder a bit harder than Byrd, but not as hard as Lewis.

Vitali dislocates his shoulder while swinging away & missing and retires after 9 rounds.

Vitali is a much better fighter than Cooney, I'll concede, but still, Young would bedevil him.
