looking at this thread is at times bizarre - an argument between two people I have on ignore...... ends up as a long stream of hidden posts, one person following the other persons.

And history says the larger world class fighter is much, much, much more likely to win. The smaller fighter needs to be significantly more dynamic or skilled to compensate, and that's simply not the case here. Nor is it at all that common in world level boxing.

This is why examples of great smaller men beating bigger fighters of similar level is notable. It's the exception, and not the rule.

You've already had to do the twisting of using Vitali's worse performances matched up with Joe's best to paint the picture you want. That's the tactic someone uses when they know they'd favor the other guy the majority of the time if they fought on neutral terms.

Vitali doesn't just beat Frazier because he's far bigger. He beats him because he's more skilled along with having a massive size advantage. Joe is going to eat far too much punishment trying to implement his offense because his physical tools limit him to only fighting the one way.

Bottom line is styles make fights, and undersized attrition fighters don't pair up well against Vitali at all. I've seen much bigger upsets so I won't rule the possibility of an exception out, but if these two fought 5 times, I'd feel quite comfortable betting the house on Vitali winning at least 3 of them.

You should team up with duck egg. Two fantasists together, with both of you quackers.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Im not ignoring anything...I never seen the fight because it want published until 2 years ago,i read off the posters who post in combat web sites. Its all good, its still a light sparring contest...its not even a kick boxing match its full contact Karate rules, you would need to look it up.If you noticed its ina high school auditorium. :good

Its the same reason Tyson didn't fight Dolph Lungren in a kick boxing match...a REAL one! This is always a risk.you need to hit the gym and see what it dfeels like to get hit ,ive been hit with EVERYTHING,even spinning back kicks, they don't tickle.Luckily im a brickwall just like im on this forum.. and I say get hit so you would have a basic concept to better judge boxing in itself :smooch

First off, I consider prime Frazier much more dynamic than Vits. More will, more stamina, just a tougher fighter. I dont believe Vits is on the same level and I dont see how you can come to the conclusion he is given his comp.

Second, this is a style matchup I have already broken down several time now. Can you prove me wrong? No more than I can prove Im right. So please dont tell me what I really believe.

Ive never said Vits couldnt win, I simply dont favor him. He's a tough guy, but does anyone believe him tougher than Frazier?

History says a good big fighter beats a good smaller fighter. Difference here is you have a GREAT smaller fighter willing to walk through hell to win against a good big fighter who has shown in the past he doesnt have the same heart. THAT is the difference to me. If you believe otherwise thats fine. Im not going to change your mind any more than you're going to change mine in an unprovable fantasy fight.

    Joe Frazier should win this.
He beat better fighters than Vitali.

I'd rank Vitali as a fairly routine alphabet champion who was allowed to extend his reign by facing a series of no-hopers.
Honestly, the likes of Kevin Johnson, Albert Sosnowski, Shannon Briggs, Dereck Chisora and Manuel Charr would have been chewed up by the Tim Witherspoons, Gerrie Coetzees and Pinklon Thomases of the 1980s.

Tomasz Adamek, Odlainer Solis and Chris Arreola were no Joe Fraziers either.

    Vitali might beat Jerry Quarry.

Mercer kod Tim Sylvia in 9 seconds.Mercer was 40 years old.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Tim Sylvia went down like a giant California redwood.

Cut down by an overhand right from 1988 Olympic boxing gold medalist Ray Mercer, the former UFC heavyweight champion fell to his back in slow motion and ate two brutal right hands on the ground as a stunned sp**** crowd looked on in amazement. The blows brought an end to the Adrenaline MMA 3 “Bragging Rights” main event in just nine seconds on Saturday at the BJCC Arena.

“Wow,” Mercer said. “I didn’t get a chance to warm up
