History is exactly that HISTORY,Frazier wouldn't even be mentioned here if a 6'7 250 pound Olympic champion like Vitali was in the 60's or 70's. You simply don't know what you are talking about.:-(
Yep, ok son. Whats Vits claim to fame? Quitting against Byrd (a small heavyweight with no power) and getting his face ripped off by Lewis. Without those fights (losses) his career as a titlist is pedastrian at best. This is a fact. He has no wins over anyone as good as Frazier, that is another fact. And for the record, Vits was never an Olympic fighter, he got kicked off for steroids. Seems you want to rewrite history now!

I can tell you vits has never been dropped by any former lhw or struggled against undersized flat footed fighters who just stand there!correct me if im wrong but did frazier ever fight a 6'7 250 pounder with skill or anyone who can actually punch other than foreman besides 200 pound bonevena? So you are telling Frazier of 205 5'11 wins this match right? I just want to be clear here? son! P.s Byrd has more k.os with 210 plus guys than Ali and Frazier combined....do the math!Though I doubt you will and would be a waste anyway, your the same guy trying to sell me Byrd was bullying Vitali around the ring and seem to be the only one besides the other two imbeciles :yep
Your whole argument is based on size. This has been debunked throughout boxing history. Langford vs almost everyone, Dempsey vs Willard and Firpo, Louis vs both Baer brothers, Simon and Carnera, Marciano, Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, Byrd...all beat bigger fighters, all fought better comp than Vits. Like I said, you cant change history. Its good to see you shut your trap about Vits being an Olympic champion. Your atupidity on that one was hysterical!
Really, more lies? I never said Byrd was "bullying" Vits around the ring. I said he was able to back him up much of the fight and Vits didnt fight well going backwards. This is another fact you cannot change. Of course you will try by making up lies, but that just shows how desperate you're becoming.
You clearly said he backed him up the entire fight,am I lying?Nope. You later changed it to suit your needs realizing he didn't do any of what you claimed he had but had few moments, not rounds in doing so.Still waiting how Frazier at 5'11 and 200/205 pounds stands right in front with cement feet blocking with his head down and swinging upward without looking joe defeats power puncher/elusive Vitali? This should be good. artytime
I said he backed him up much of the fight, not the entire fight. This is a fact. If you had watched the fight you would know this. And if Byrd could do it there is little doubt that a harder punching Frazier would be even more successful in the minds of rational and objective fans. Of course you are neither of these things so continue on living in your precious fantasy land.
Vitali elusive? Vitali a power puncher? Come on he was neither. He used his size advantage to control range but when an opponent got inside that range Vitali was eminently hittable. As for his power it was solid but not huge and generally required an accumulation of punishment to attain a stoppage. He's a good fighter though and used his physical advantages well generally but Frazier was a pit bull. His workrate was incredible, his body attack hasn't been matched at heavyweight since and his determination and ability to impose his will makes him a nightmare opponent for anyone not called George Foreman (and Frazier was faded for both those fights). Frazier was torture to fight and asked more questions of a fighters will to win than anyone you care to name. I don't know if he beats Vitali but I know he damn well makes him dig to his deepest depths to even have a chance at winning. A very good pick'em fight for mine.
My whole argument is not only size throw in actual boxing ability not an in your face grinder with one punch to rely on like Frazier was and you get vitali...see you really dont know what you are talking about that's why you FAILED to give any break down of HOW Frazier wins this...you didn't do so because you know he gets smashed Easily inside 3 rounds. :good
"Vitali hits harder than Foreman"..S. Briggs why not just look up his almost 90% k.o percentage record,i guess you don't really watch the fights either you even stated he was not elusive yet had great footwork and counter punching abilities. Reality > Fantasy
Only an imbecile would compare slow ,sloppy, predictable weak minded 70's Foreman to a great thinker, better chinned ,technical boxer like Vitali. :good
