gomez down, but how much has that taken out of vitali trying to look for the finish?

Gomez needs to just survive the next round.

    Gomez down in the 7th.

Vitali threw alot of punches trying to end the fight there. May have punched himself out, at least for the next couple of rounds.

Gomez is really hurt, was getting battered so he clinched with Vitali and they went to the ground, almost MMA style.

Vitali got to his feet and Gomez was struggling to get up, like he got put down from a punch.

Think Gomez is struggling to see the punches with his eye closed over.

He looks recovered...thought he was ok.

Round 8 non eventful until the last few seconds...Gomez a little hurt again but the bell comes

You feel one big flurry from Vitali will end it, Gomez is tired and struggling with his eye but fought bravely in that round.

    1 pt off Klitschko

    Dunno what for..

Gomez DOWN! Very distressed about his eye. Gomez fights back while hurt! Wow if Vitali had ANY timing this dude would be gone.

    All over, Vitali Klitschko TKO9.

Gomez stopped on his feet, a mixture of being hurt, exhausted and distressted with his eye and the ref jumps in.

All in all he struggled for timing, looked kinda slow and OLD dare I say it. But at the end of the day he won all but one round on my card and forced the stoppage.

Gomez is dropped again, they let it keep going but its all one way now, Vitali keeps the punishment up and all Gomez can do it swing back wildly as he eats the big man's blows to the face.

A few hard hits later and it's a TKO win for Vitali.

Gomez showed a really good chin in there and still went out. Haye doesn't have that chin. Gomez, the smaller guy, struggled to get on the inside of the jab - something Haye will have to do.

    My monies still on Vit...
