Kenny Norton had problems with offensively prolific fighters.. and even though I don't think Vitali hits as hard as Cooney, Foreman, or Shavers, he would still be too overwhelmingly strong for Norton and takes him out just as quickly. The key for Vitali here is that instead of boxing and counterpunching, he should just come right at Kenny and blast him out early the way he did against Kirk Johnson.
Norton was a late starter to boxing,he had his first fight when he was 20. His first pro fight was when he was 25. At the time fighters where thought to be over the hill at 30. Norton could be stopped early but once he got through those early rounds he was a demon. With Eddie Futch in his corner he would have the plan to make this a great fight.
Prime Norton (pre-Holmes) would be a test for any fighter not named George Foreman. Vitali would have a big size advantage, but Norton is a vastly underrated HW (especially on ESB). I'd probably put my money on Vitali, but I would not be surprised at all if Norton outboxed him to a points victory.
Vitali. Prime Vitali was a beast of a man, too bad most posters here are only starting to get familiar with his career when hit the big 40
Vitali Klitschko is already above that level. He would beat Norton. It would be better to compare Klitschko against Bowe, Liston or Charles.
You almost had it right . . . Norton outboxes him EASILY for a points victory . . . it is Vitali (and his brother) who are the the most overrated fighters on this board! look at all the dumb responses by all of the typical cast of characters
