You need to look more closely at the stats and you'll see that you are quite wrong. First, there are easily 3 to 4 forwards in the NBA per team across 30 teams that have dimensions that will make Vitlay appear diminutive. The average height (AVERAGE) in the NBA ranges from 6'7" to 6'8" on a team basis. The average weight (AVERAGE) in the NBA ranges from 220 to 240 lbs on a team basis.

Every team has several players that are nearly as tall, as tall, and taller than Vitlay and out of that group we can certainly find players from 230-280 lbs. So, identifying 100 players that could stand next to Vitlay and make him look less than substantive is no tough feat. There are many power forwards that play small minutes at center that are available in this group. I won't do the work because you are the one that needs to check your facts if you doubt mine. Vitlay appears huge (and is) standing next to a Mike Tyson or a Sam Peter. He looks nothing of the kind standing next to a thin basketball player like Lamar Odom. Choosing other players as a point of comparison would not be difficult to achieve the desired impact of making Vitlay appear less than unique.

Second, don't put words in my mouth. I made no mention of Vit's neck in my post. The obvious point to anyone should be that even next to a stick like Odom, Vitlay sure doesn't seem all that big. There are many (MANY) hundreds of athletes in the NBA/NFL and in college that would make him seem hardly impressive if standing side by side.

You generalizations about NBA power forwards or even small forwards is also bull****, dude. The small forward position has historically (for the past many generations) been a scorer's spot not one defined by "lanky" players but exceptionally gifted, quick, and strong scorers (being lanky may happen but that hasn't been the prototype at all). As for there not being any good power forwards today what the f*ck are ya talking about? You don't think these names are decent: Stoudemire, Nowitzski, Brand, Garnett, Bosh, Smith, Boozer, Gasol, Duncan, West, and Aldridge? LMAO.

Not every player in the NBA is some skinny stick. Watch the game if you doubt that. You actually think Vitlay would look impressive standing next to even a Lebron or a Ben Wallace?

As for watching Karl Malone as you grew up that means nothing. Karl was a great power forward. There is no credit given for being the guy who WATCHED him. I can make the same claim except I played and started Division I in baseball at one of the best programs in the US. I had arm trouble by the end and went to Arthur Andersen (instead of making an attempt at the pros) where I made a career as an accountant (and retired by my early 30s) and have met hundreds of athletes through charitable endeavors over the years. I grew up watching Chamberlain, Baylor, West, Robertson, Bellemy, Thurmond, etc., etc. I think I know a bit about a game that I still play regularly against a variety of players from "small colleges" in pickup games. Unfortunately, ESB seems to have a bunch of young wannabe sport aficionados that can claim they can click a mouse or type crap more than actually demonstrate any athletic proficiency whatsoever at any level. You a part of that group?

Yes, the NBA and NFL have a lot of big guys. Does that translate into boxing ability? Absolutely not. Big and strong does not equal a good boxer.

    Just ask this guy:

I don't know that I would go around promoting the fact that I worked as an accountant (and retired at an early age) , for a company that was brought down for its corrupt dealings with Enron. :D

Were all human . At the very least you need to start training young. How you hold up as a fighter ; only time would tell if you have what it takes.

I am sure there is a great potential out there . They just arent boxing . Just doing something else.

To be fair these guys arent wired properly for boxing. If they play football . Thier mentalitly is to be physical. And charge hard and fast. Turning to boxing after that is dangerous because most times these guys will fight the way they have been progarammed to play.

Which I belive is why these football players RUN INTO ALOT OF KO's .

We are all human. If you take that guy and decide to trian him in boxing instead of getting him in pop warner football when he is 7 years old ; alot of these guys do have the physical tools to learn how to control their bodies and throw perfect punches . They may not have a chin but neither does WLAD:deal

    strange thread
firstly when one is addressing one's superiors it would be proper to do so in a manner more befitting ones station,'sir' will do nicely...

however seen as though your response was clearly heartfealt ( i like to think i can admire a mans pretensions and delusuions of grandeur as much as the next man) i will indulge your need to purge...

however if you must insist on flirting with me know this:I cannot go on anymore bad dates. I would rather be home alone than out with some guy who sells socks on the internet....so dont get any ideas sugar tits,ok?

point - 1 rhetoric lame, argument poorly contextualized and your attempt to baffle me with laborious diatribe only serve's to embarrass yourself dear not me,you completely **** n moan and then about some i suggest you

my philosophy is simply thus: Anyone who thinks they're important is usually just a pompous moron who can't deal with his or her own pathetic insignificance and the fact that what they do is meaningless and inconsequential..water off a ducks back to me mate you however clearly need a date!

Don't bother that idiot is obsessed with the Klitschko's. It's his only purpose in this forum. He always writes the same stupid essay about the NFL, NBA. :rofl They ran a train on him.

Watch him cry now and call me a "little (insert lame insult here)".

Cool picture. That's about the same height difference as Valuev - Wlad would be.

Yes, exactly the same, in fact. Feels weird seeing Wlad look that small. He's destroy Valuev, nonetheless.

btw there was a thread Shaq vs Vitali and people was saying how Shaq would dwarf Vitali. Shaq is a similar height to Gasol and Odom is 2 inches taller than Vitali.
