that is pretty much a way of weaselling into saying Vitali is ATG, but leaving yourself a backdoor to say "oh no I'm not saying it really hooohoo"

oh here we go.....it is OBVIOUS what you are trying to say.

No, there's a difference. Some guys are very good H2H but did not leave a legacy which matches their ability. That is why I hesitate about calling Vitali an ATG - it depends on how high the bar is set. But Wlad is an ATG for sure, and I maintain that Vitali was just as hard to beat if not harder.

If Byrd was still around as a legit contender in his comeback years, Vitali would have rematched him for sure. Byrd was completely finished by 2009. He would also have accommodated Lewis at any point between 2004 and 2012, even when he was out with injury. No call was received.

I was watching a video of Tyson hitting the mitts with in the 80's.. Man was a beast.. I think he wouldve KO'd VK.. Or get a stoppage at some point..

Size difference might be too much here plus as others have said Vitali would not be intimidated.

However the ease with which an old, uninterested, out of shape Lennox Lewis was able to turn Vit's face into a bleeding mess makes me think Tyson in his prime would be able to land at will, Vitali's hands down, reflex based defence would likely not work against a prime Tyson.

    Difficult fight to call.

... who is an ATG, huge in size, endowed with all round skills and who beat Tyson like a drum ...

I never said anything about being scared of his punches. I said "wouldn't be scared of Tyson", as in the aura of Tyson. I then went on to say VK also takes punches well (separate point) and he has the power to get Tyson's respect. Most guys were defeated before the first bell. VK wouldn't fall in that category. He'd respect the power and keep Iron Mike at bay while breaking him down for a stoppage win.

Of course, it's just another a$$hole's opinion.

Missed this post. That deserves a thumbs up.

It's true. I remember a guy so short he had to jump to reach the other guys face to slap him a good one. Tallboy said nada to shortie, because shortie was built like a brick shithouse and had the temperament of a rabid weasel.

Tyson was 15 years past his best by the time he fought Lewis, we're talking Tyson vs Vitali prime for prime.

So you are saying Lewis cherry picked Tyson at the right time?

^^^ but also dont concentrate on the finger. u obviously do.

they were beaten because they got hit right, like when old Lewis was able to tear out prime vitali's eye at will due to his porous defence. But vitali is tough enough to roll with it for a while for sure. Before he got beat, he seemed to be braver than after, though being brave against a chain of bums and middlers and Hide perhaps isnt unexpected.

Vitali is not a big puncher. He opts for aggregate damage, a slow grind down. He doesnt place well enough to be a big puncher against good opposition.

I would strongly favour Vitali to win inside the distance.
I think Vitalis awkward boxing would frustrate Tyson and not allow him to connect too often or too clean. I think the accumulation of Vitalis work would bring a mid to late stoppage
