Its definitely there , the upward jab was 50% of Vitali's skill-set. After that he had a right hand and shovel uppercut , that's it .. . Most SHW are not that dissimilar from each other anyway to it makes no sense to say they were nothing alike each other.
You can say Fury and Vitali were nothing alike , but both JLG and Vitali were both upright jab heavy guys with poor defense.

Yes Bowe was mentally weak but let’s not forget Vitali quit against Byrd in the 9th with one perfectly good hand to fight on with. Even Audley Harrison fought 10 rounds with one hand and came back to KO Sprott. How can we be sure Vitali doesn’t quit again if the going gets too rough against Bowe.

 

So with that argument in mind, do you also favor Audley Harrison over Vitali? After all, how can we be sure Vitali doesn't quit?

 

I KNEW the Byrd fight would be brought up again. Lol And Vitali redeemed himself fighting like a terminator against Lewis while making Lennox decide to retire instead of keeping his previous GO GETTER attitude of “One Klitschko for lunch the other for dinner!!” What happened to that?! He even agreed to a rematch with Vitali but scratched that idea after seeing Vitali almost kill Johnson while calling out Lennox afterward.

BTW Vitali was absolutely schooling Byrd before his shoulder ripped out of socket. And it’s very obvious Vitali was determined never to make that mistake again. Bowe stayed determined to avoid Lewis the rest of his overrated career.

How can we be sure Bowe doesn’t throw another belt in the trash to avoid a killer like Vitali?? Because Riddick never redeemed that did he?

Seriously? Vitali is clearly levels above Audley Harrison. It would never come down to a war of attrition where heart/mental strength would be a factor, like it might with Bowe.

Why wouldn’t it be? It happened, and has to be taken into account when assessing him h2h. The fact is Vitali quit when the going got tough well up on the cards with 3 rounds to go. Against a blown up LHW.

Vitali lost to the best 2 fighters he ever fought, and has no real notable wins. No idea why people are so favorable towards him in these fantasy match ups.
