Vitali Klitschko vs Riddick Bowe, with poll

We've already seen how this fight would play out when Vit fought a baboons ass version of Lennox Lewis and when Bowe fought Louis Gonzalez.

There's nothing Bowe couldn't do that Lewis in that fight did do.

 

The problem with putting Bowe against bigger guys is we seen Bowe only fight one guy as big or bigger than him and he got the beating of his life both times and had to retire. Vitali and Bowe are probably equal on the heart/toughness and power punching scale but I have no doubt Vitali is stronger physically and better defensively.

I'm gonna go with Vitali by decision or late stoppage due to Bowe getting pounded on his feet in which starts off as a pretty competitive fight.

Note: I've never had an amateur or pro boxing match as I've only done sparring, I have done four Muay Thai interclubs and won a No Gi BJJ competition though. I do wonder how many people lie on this poll though.

 

Both the Klitschkos would destroy Bowe with his big dumb looping overhands and sad footwork

Vitali had no defence against bigger men. He hung his arms low and had no head or upper body movement. Bowe would hand on him in close and from range with absolute ease.
We already seen how Vitali's head was getting snapped off his shoulders by a slow and gassed out Lewis.

Golota could bob and weave and slip and parry . His defence was like Mayweathers compared to Vitali. Golota also did his best worst up close.
Vitali has no inside game at all. He can't throw short punches in close like Golota did. He has to be at range to get his arm punching style to land. Problem is Bowe is better and faster from range than Vitali is. With his speed and longer reach he beats Vitali to the punch every time.
On the inside Bowe simply destroys him.

 

I followed Bowe's career when he was an early pro up to winning the title..He fought guys as big as he was. As prospect/contender he faced guys like Tyrell Biggs, Elljah Tiller, Art Tucker and later on Julio Luis Gonzalez who was about 6-8. Ofcourse the Golota fights partly Andrew being a very talented boxer at that size but also Bowe slipping and already basically losing his mind.

 

Gonzalez was tall and lanky but really wasn't cut out for the pros, If I remember correctly he didn't even like having a trainer and when he did he hired a kickboxing trainer. The other guys were not as big as Bowe or Vitali.

 

The way you make it seem so easy that Bowe would land on Vitali is exactly the same for how easy Vitali would land on Bowe, there's a reason Bowe sounds like he does and had to retire by the age of 30. Getting on the inside of Vitali is a lot different than a guy much smaller like Holyfield who doesn't hit anywhere as hard as Vitali thus Bowe not having to worry as much when against Holyfield.

 

Biggs and Tucker were both 6-5 Gonzalez 6-8. I don't remember exactly how tall Tillery was but they all were just as big as Bowe.

 

You're basing a Vitali win on a fight Bowe had when past prime against a guy who is stylistically much different to Vitali.

Golota had deceptive hand speed , Vitali was slow.
Golota restored to nut shots when the fight got too tough for him. The nut shot were thrown to deplete Bowe's energy. He eventually thew enough low blows because he wanted to quit.
Is nut shotting an already mentally past prime Bowe Vitalis best chance at success?

Its like saying Povetkin could beat Mike Tyson because Holyfield beat him.

I can say Vitali wouldn't have a prayer of keeping Bowe at range because he was punched back by flat footed Derrick Chisora all night long.
Obviously Vitali was past prime at the time so I focus on his prime.

The only guy remotely similar to Bowe he ever faced was a one foot out the door Lewis..The result of that fight makes his chances of beating Bowe from a logical standpoint , slim to none.

 

Quickly looking back yes they were similar size to Bowe but they didn't go far and were not as big as Vitali either. Bowe was largely untested throughout his career. There was so much start power in the 90's yet Bowe fought barely any of them.

If one of the Klitschko Brothers straight up ducked someone publicly like Bowe did with Lennox Lewis can you imagine what this forum would think of them? They already hate them as it is this forum would want them crucified.

 

Lewis walked in on Bowe in slow motion and beat him up. These are the facts.

Vitali's defence was being much taller than slow and small C levellers. He had no defence against Men as big as Bowe

 

Yeah but Bowe ain't Lennox Lewis, we don't even know if Bowe would be willing to fight Vitali Klitschko if they were around in the same era as he certainly wasn't willing to fight Lewis.

 

Bowe at his very best takes this anything less then Vitali has a chance
