Quality not quanity, Lewis cleaned out his whole era, the only fight he hung around for was Tyson. Once he beat him, there was nothing left to prove. But he added icing to the cake after he kicked Vitalis arse.

Its a bit of a coincidence that Vitali has the highest Ko %, but he also has by far the worse resume. The list of outstanding names on his record are Lewis, Byrd, Briggs, Sanders. Out of them, he stopped Sanders only. He didnt stop Arreola, he took 8 to stop Adamek and 8 to stop Williams. In no way am i convinced he is stopping or even coming close to stopping Riddick Bowe

No he didnt, Fury had an easier time with Chisora as did Haye. Getting punched in the face and getting cut is not an injury, its called getting stopped. You claim Vitali has more heart than Bowe? yet Vitali QUIT, yes QUIT against Byrd. Bowe, never quit, even when he was getting beaten to a pulp.

Bowe does everything better than Vitali, The heat Holyfield brings is much better than anything Vitali would ever bring.

Guys like Williams, Adamek and Briggs were able to cope with Vitalis 'duress' but Bowe cant?

Time to pull Vitalis ***** out of your anus

Yes this version of Bowe had it all. Very tough to beat, even tougher
to KO with a mean streak to boot. Vitali doesn't have the balls or heart
to win. Take away technique and thats all your left with. As Bowe said
in his neighborhood you "had to bring it to get it" Vitali isn't bringing the
firepower to seriously injure Bowe, nor the size, speed, or technique to outpoint him. Vitali retires after this beating.

I hate this "nothing left to prove". There is always something to prove.

On top of everything I said, Bowe would throw very looping shots which would be picked off time and time again.

Look at the scorecards of the Chisora v. Vitali fight against the others.

He did stop Arreola and had him crying after the fight too.

Bowe barely beat Tony Tubbs, but Tyson, Lionel Butler & Jimmy Ellis can KO him in 2 rounds or less.

Vitali couldn't take Arreola off his feet. Stiverne did, who has good
power. Vitali isn't a sharp shooting technician. Furthermore, look
how easily a limited Chisora got inside. If you thought an over the hill
Lewis was tough wait until you see prime Bowe. Vitali is slow as ****,
like hes moving in molasses. Vitali doesn't like pressure, Bowe was as
    passive as a freight train.

Vitali can't bring the size (he's 6'8, 3 inches taller than Bowe), speed (very decisive), and technique (gold medal amateur background).

Golota was having a field day with him. Vitali would TKO him.

Dumb man. Briggs said Vitali hit harder than Foreman. Vitali nearly killed Briggs. He paid a toll to go the distance with a broken face, and went into a coma in the hospital. The fight should have been stopped. Briggs was hurt several times, and the punch Vitali landed in round 7 knocks out most.

Tough pick. Vitali is 2" taller, they are close in weight but Vitali is a little heavier (when Bowe is in shape), they both have 80" reaches or better.

They are both durable. Vitali has never been down but he has been stopped twice (shoulder injury and cuts).

Bowe was down once vs. Holyfield (3 fights) and down multiple times vs. Golota (2 fights). Bowe also knocked both of them down multiple times. Bowe is one of only 3 Lineal HW Champs who were never stopped... Tunney and Marciano are the other two.

Bowe beat Holyfield 2 out of 3, Golota x2, Coetzer, Donald, Hide, and others.

Vitali has beat Hide, Obed Sullivan, Orlin Norris, Bean, Donald, Kirk Johnson, Corrie Sanders, Danny Williams, Sam Peter, J.C. Gomez, Arreola, Solis, Adamek, and Charr... all by stoppage. He easily decisioned Kevin Johnson, Briggs, and Chisora. He did get stopped by Byrd and Lewis but was ahead on points in both of these fights at the time of stoppage.

I think Bowe has the ability to outbox Vitali but eventually it would turn into a brawl. I think Vitali holds up better in a brawl and his punches would eventually have more of an impact... V.K. on points.

Why do you think that? Vitali Klitschko has never been down. Yes, he was stopped by Chris Byrd (shoulder injury)... who he was clearly beating after 9 rounds (8 rounds to 1). Yes, he was stopped by Lennox Lewis (cuts)... who he was beating 4 rounds to 2 after 6 rounds. Here's the thing... V. Klitschko got better after these fights. He has dominated in all of his fights... even the 2 he lost.

After the Lewis fight Vitali beat Kirk Johnson (KO2) for a shot at the vacant WBC HW Title (Lewis had retired after his fight with Vitali).

He won the vacant WBC HW Title by beating Corrie Sanders (KO in the 8th). Sanders had stopped W. Klitschko in the 2nd round to win the WBO HW Title.

He stopped Danny Williams in the 8th round and then retired. He really wanted to fight Lennox Lewis again.

He came back almost 4 years later (3 years and 10 months) and stopped Sam Peter after 8 rounds after winning every round. Peter had dropped W. Klitschko twice and lost a close decision.

He's won 9 fights since beating Peter, 6 by KO or TKO.

He has not lost since June of 2003 (yes he took almost 4 years off). He has won his last 13, 10 by KO. He's 12-1 (9) in HW World Title Fights (15-2 (12) if you add in the WBO HW Title Fights). He is pretty good.

Bowe struggled with an old Tyrell Biggs until he stopped him in the 8th. He barely beat an old Tony Tubbs (some felt Tubbs won). He stopped Pierre Coetzer in the 8th but it wasn't easy and Bowe fought a very dirty fight. He looked great vs. an overconfident Holyfield in '92 (Holyfield had made Bowe quit in sparring sessions)... Bowe never looked this good before or after. He outboxed Larry Donald but couldn't hurt him. He stopped Herbie Hide in the 6th round but Hide did land some good shots (he rocked Bowe) and even won a couple of rounds. He stopped J.L. Gonzalez in the 6th round after winning every round (Gonzalez sucked and Witherspoon did the same inside of 5 rounds). He lost the 2nd fight with Holyfield. He was dwon and almost out vs. Holyfield in their 3rd fight but was able to stop Holyfield in the 8th round. He took lots of damage from Golota in their two fights but won both by DQ. He went 3-1 (2) in HW World Title Fights, 5-1 (4) if you add in his WBO HW Title Fights. He was a good fighter but was lazy and never lived up to the hype.

Lewis had a PRIME Briggs down 3 times.Vitali could not drop a 40 years old version.

    Boxing News 4 days ago.

"People can look at that fight and say I was beaten up but I fought that fight with one arm. I was in hospital because of my arm. There were reports that my orbital bone was broken, that my nose was broken, that I was in a coma. They were all untrue. Even with one arm I almost knocked him out. Look back on that fight and you'll see there's a moment in the ninth or 10th round when I almost had him. All I needed was two arms." Shannon Briggs
