Vitali doesn't have one punch power, he is an accumulation arm puncher.

He has hit guys with average chins hundreds of times before finishing them.

I doubt that the version of Briggs that Vitali fought would last 4 rounds against any elite puncher in history.

  2. you are very wrong
it does not demonstrate nothing, styles make fights.
And vitali is completly wrong for the rock

Marciano's chin was solid, but his hardest punching foe's were "Louis, Walcott and Moore." They all had an average of age 40 yrs when Marciano beat them guys..... V.K. at 250 pounds is way too big, strong and skilled for Marciano in a time machine... V.K. pounds Marciano down and out for the TKO/KO win before round 10... TRUTH!

    Yeah....

Rock is very much a great. But H2H he is just really poor...He beat not one great at the peak of their powers, and what he did show, doesn't inspire my confidence he could handle those fighters at their peak.

Small, and kind of slow are the attributes a Klitschko would pick on. Anytime the chose too, they'd keep rock on the end of their punches, and he'd struggle to get in further. Once their, he'd be absolutely enveloped in their clinches.

Vitali isn't the Klitschko to stop Rock. Not enough power. But I can't see Rocky stopping VK, and I also can't see him being able to outpoint him.

He tries hard, and deserves nothing but respect for his effort, but I feel VK gets the points win.

Muhamad Ali and Jimmy Young (neither punchers) both put a prime George Foreman on the deck, while the modern superheavyweights couldnt hurt an ancient version!

Size and power are verry over rated!

5-10 years ago, such a poll would be in Rocky's favor. I am glad to see some posters have been objective enough to re-think how it would have gone down.

Where is the fighter today analogous to Marciano, a power punching swarmer who is 185 pounds and making his name in the heavyweight class? Where is this analogous fighter in the past 30 years? And don't tell me his name is Tyson because that is just ludicrous.

It's a pity you can't use that same objectivity when analyzing Vitali's career.

I think Tua and Tyson are in many aspects. Short, Powerful, Durable swarmers with freakish power in both mitts. Tua and Tyson are a bit thicker, but they also had the benefit of modern training/nutrition/supplements/steroids in which Marciano had no access too.
