Vitali Klitschko vs. Rocky Marciano.

People never factor in the body attack in these breakdowns. Do people think Rocky is just going to stand there while being hugged and wait for the ref for to break? Do people have any idea idea how destructive body shots are, especially from Marciano?

In Wlads case he is going to be firing off body shots when Wlad comes into clinch and straight away again on the break. Rocky will tie up one of his (Rock can clinch too) arms and will constantaly beatdown on everything in front of him. He wont give Wlad the comfort to adjust himself and will be straight back closing him down.

This match up also doesn't have Wlads own personal referee to help him and break everytime Rocky gets in close to work, and hard shots wear down Wlads stamina, who doesn't have great stamina to begin with.. One his feels the power he panics. Wlad is a sitting duck in this fight.

Vitali wont crumble under the pressure and can give back what he takes and is a much harder fight for the Blockbuster.

 

If Rock gets caught plodding in, which is likely, the fight would very likely be over before it even started. Wlad routinely shuts down superheavies on the inside, the idea that Rock would be able to operate at all is laughable, every time Wlad clinches, Rocks stamina gets depleted. This is not Tyson we are talking about here, Rocky does not close distance fast enough to make Wlad pay. But yeah Rock could bang, if he managed to land on Wlad, he could cause him to panic, very small possibility of that happening though.

Mormeck is bigger than 90% of Rocks opponents, besides Rock struggled to break down guys like Cockell and ancient light heavies, it's very easy to reference fights out of context.

And i didn't specify a round, this incarnation of Wlad can be very gun shy at times but sometimes lets his power go in certain fights.

What exactly is it that you are debating? You think Rock can walk on to a flush right hand from Wlad and not be hurt?

Rocky was great no doubt about it, so is Hagler or Hopkins, doesn't really correlate to how well he would do against modern heavies unfortunately.

Watch the fight again, in decent quality. Byrd landed like 3 decent punches and Vitali didn't even blink. Byrd was getting damn near shut out and at no point was walking Vitali down.

Again, you're talking nonsense. Vitali is easily strong enough to throw Rocky across the ring like a ragdoll. Vitali's too slow for Marciano? No. Rock doesn't have fast hands like Hide or Byrd. And he's plodding right into punches from a man with a 90% stoppage ratio against REAL heavyweights, not cruisers and blown up LHWs.
