Let's hope Chagaev beats Valuev again so that another unification could take place after Klistchkow takes care of Thompson.

Although King might be tempted to match Valuev with Peter since he owns both....

If Wlad could add the WBA to the WBO-IBF...Peter-Wlad will definitely need to be made, on order from the cable networks !

Ruiz fighting on Peter's undercard might have been a sign for that !

I hope that we don't see Peter vs Golota. The amount of title shots that Golota has been given without any reason is absolutely staggering. I have always said that Peter is the kind of guy who will fight anyone, and wants the biggest fights out there. If Peter takes his first title defense against Golota, I will really change my outlook on him.

Agreed, I think King as planning things out as we speak, Peter is his gold ticket in a sense, though when Vitali was 46-0 and a Giant destroyer he was. King has already tried to mold Valuev into what he wants, it hasnt worked, and Valuev has already said he wont be made to look like a circus freak, Peter on the other hand is now becoming more brash and cocky, like King wants. I will go out on limb and say, Wlad will fight Valuev by early to the middle part of next year, if he infact beats Chagaev in a couple months.

Exactly, it's a no brainer. Funny thing is Golota would have a fair chance.

Even if Peter wins, there would be a rematch and Wlad would most likely win it. King fights his fighters agianst his own fighters. He doesn't lose. If Vitaly is out Golota is in.

What King loves is to own all the belts and he'll crown Golota before he crowns Ruiz. Golota has better chances. Better chances equals better cha-ching cha-ching.

I agree. I also think Ruiz or Golota are the most likely to get a shot at Peter first.

But being a huge Vitali fan, I hate to hear that he is, more than likely, not coming back. He and Peter would have put on quite a show.

It must really suck to hear this news, I know your a huge Vitali backer and all, deep down I really wanted this fight to happen, but I must admit, I was little nervous Peter might not be ready for a tough challenge like Vitali at this time, his stamina was very bad in his fight with Maskaev, and if he came in the ring like that against Vitali, he probably would of been beat by Vitali that night.

I guess there is a slim chance of him returning, but I think once this news gets out, Peter will start to setup a fight with someone else.

And you can't blame them........if this story is true, and Vitali is unsureif he'll take the fight or not, after all his cancelations in the past, Peter and King should forget him and move on to fight someone else.

I doubt Vitali expects them to wait on him as he waits for his election status, either. I bet he expects that they'll move on, now, and forget him, even before he says for certain if he'll fight or not. The mere news that he's questioning if he'll fight or not should, be enough for them to forget a match with Vitali, move on.

This is news to me, just a couple weeks ago I thought it was all go, and Vitali wanted Peter in the ring, but I guess not. I wonder if Vitali would of changed his mind if Maskaev would of won?

I completely agree with the fact that Golota has been awarded far too many unwarranted title shots. However, I think it may be a good fight for Sam Peter to take. Peter is far from a household name and a win over Golota (a known commodity, albeit undeservedly) could serve to get his name out there. IF Peter is to one day beat Wlad and become the Baddest Man on the Planet, the undisputed Heavyweight Champ, it would be nice for people to know who he is ahead of time.
