Round 10

Briggs is getting wobbled with every right hand thrown. Briggs is knocked into the ropes and is simply turning his back and shoulders slowly from one side to the other in lame attempts to slip despite Klitschko’s connect percentage shooting up to 99%. Briggs looks ready to go as Klitschko calmly keeps the right hands pouring in buckets, with mean little hooks preventing Briggs from circling to his own right to evade them. Briggs’ nose is bloodied.

 

Round 11

Jabs are attaching to Briggs’ still-clotting nose like a magnet. Klitschko is perhaps showing a little mercy by keeping the power punches to a minimum. Briggs is still getting wobbled just by the jabs and a few lazy right hands. Briggs is simply waving his left arm in front of his face when Vitali throws or feints. WOAH! Big right hand counter from Briggs catches Klitschko flush on the chin. That was the Cannon’s best punch all night. Klitschko then gets more aggressive and starts lining up the downward 1-2 again.

Round 12

Klitschko sticks his jab up high and then shoeshines the body a little while zipping in and out. Klitschko then settles down and sticks with his trusty outside attack, landing long jabs and perfectly lined up straight right crosses. Briggs is jumping up to try and land high hooks on the taller man but is too arm-weary to come close and is getting countered viciously. Briggs’ upper lip is now bleeding along with his nose. Briggs throws a faint right hand and a jab to the crotch (unseen) and both times has a whiplash-inducing right hand collide into him.
