I have heard the brothers many times say. "We will go right down the top 10 list" thats what is happening and Briggs happens to be #9
the problem is, the top wba ranked fighters have all been beaten by wlas already lol, haye has maybe 3 fights left, no point wasting one on chagaev. and vitali doesnt seem to be actively chasing haye. it is like he left that to wlad. but now wlad fights povetkin why cant vitali fight haye now. in terms of excitement haye briggs would be good, but in terms of credibility, worth zilch :good
no but also not less than SNV or Solis aside form Adamek there is no one in that division who really deservs it.
so there are 8 wbc ranked fighters "ducking" vitali atm? as i said, i like k2, i really rate them. i just think this fight is bs because people are already justifying it, whereas if haye was to fight briggs he would be ridiculed. in terms of action, it depends which briggs turns up, the one kayoing these bums looks hungry so who knows. but the one vs iggy was utter shite
thats not what I said. Valuev - "I want more cash"..IMO blame DK Solis - "NO" Adamek - ? Briggs - Willing at not a huge price since this has now turned into a stay busy fight IMO I didnt say it was a done deal (Briggs) just that the talks are real and it seems Briggs may be the front runner Haye - You think after wlad had such a hard time with the contract and Haye, Vitali can get it done:-( IMO Haye would do the same thing Wlad wants haye and Vitali wont get in the way of that
Shannon the cannon is back :happy:happy:happy Actually this would make Haye V Harrison look like a potential barn-burner, hope neither fight happens.
1) cuz there is a justification. 2) cuz there is no justification. Haye may fight anybody he wants, cuz no one avoids him. Klits and Haye are not made of the same material, they cant be compared in the same way. Too many factors differ them. Talkin about double standards is nonesens cuz they are not at the same stage of their career... i dunno mb im deluded but its my point of view.
IIRC Adamek has said he is not ready. I think he would actually do it though if push came to shove. Solis has said "no". Valuev refuses to fight. Haye refuses to fight. I dont know about Thompson. Chag and Chambers are better fighters than Briggs, but you know that the haters will just say "beating up on his brother's leftovers" and dismiss them. I think fighting Briggs is ****. Tua hasn't impressed since his comeback, and would be equally **** - although he might not gas after the first 30 seconds like Briggs will. Really, if you were guessing that all other fighters were available to fight and were willing to do so then you have perhaps 2 or 3 other credible choices. And that is assuming that they are actually available and willing. So it is a **** fight, but better to keep busy and fight someone who should be 3rd or 4th on your list of available opponents than to not fight at all. I'd just hate for this to be Vitali's last fight - what a low note to go out on. Also, comparing the Klits situation to Haye's is comparing apples to oranges. Firstly, noone wants to fight the Klits, but plenty of guys would like to have the easier title fight with Haye. Secondly, most of the criticism levelled at Haye about his opponents is due to him being a hypocrit. If a fighter makes promises and fails to keep them then they are a liar. Haye sold himself as the saviour of the division - the Klit brothers never did that. So yes, it is fair that Haye gets criticised when the Klits dont. Apples and oranges.
I love the way the guys that lost to WALDO are dismissed....it's the same logic the WALDO fans used when VITLAY beat Sanders on WALDO's behalf because he never had the balls to rematch the guy himself, what with his glass chin hindering him
