i honestly dont see "wlad has beaten him" as a viable excuse. imagine if haye sad that "i dont need to fght vitali because lewis beat him" or if floyd said it "i dont need to fight cotto because pacman beat him" most fghters have lost to someone, that doesnt mean they would lose to someone else.

my view is smple, there are a lot of better fghters vitali could have fought, and rght now he wont get much credit for a vctory. that beng said the victory will grow more prestigious with time i believe. history will show that they are of a similar age, briggs has lost once in 8 years and he has knocked out his last few opponents within a round.

im sure some klitschko nuthugger will go through my list and discredit each choice i lsted, but im not hating on vitali, im not even blamng him for any of them fights not coming off, i am merely saying i believe he would receive more credit for any of them victories than he would for a victory over briggs.

Chambers got a beating and got KO´d just in his recent fight how should he get another shot rather than Briggs? What has this to do with Wlad and why isnt Ruiz on the list?

vitali was trying to get some interesting names to fight him, but the most of them dont want to fight vitali. like valuev, haye, povetkin, platov, dimitrenko, adamek, banks, solis, chagaev....

thmopson is injured, tua has a fight deal with australien tv, chambers is still recovering from Wlad, ustinov is an friend and sparing partner of k2, like banks! holyfield? cmon this would be a masacre, i dont wont see that, and wlad ist a joke right?

 

as i said in the post you just quoted, i am not putting any blame on vitali. i believe vitali would get more credt for beating each of them then for beating briggs.

 

holyfield, tua and chambers are not better than briggs. holyfield is 48 and has lost 5 of his last 10 fights. he is small and has a average punch and chambers was brutaly koed in his last fight. if he comes back with couple of wins and recover, than he is better than briggs, but not now! did you see the tua barret fight?
you forget boytsov, but he is injured too!

holyfield was robbed vs valuev and he stopped oquendo. that is better than anything briggs has done in the last couple of years. holyfield also gave a better showing than brggs did vs ibragimov.

chambers has beaten brock and peter, dont believe brggs has beaten anyone as good as them 2.

tua has done just as much as briggs if not more, he has kayoed better oppositon, and a lot is made of the barret fight, it was close but even still, barret is better than anyone briggs has faced in years.

infact barret another one who would gain vitali more credt than briggs.

All mandatory spots were blocked when he returned what do you expect him to do? Hes already in great shape. To KTFO of jokes like the Hayefaker? He would never give him the chance to. He hasnt done less than most who are in your bs list and there is not much work to do for Briggs in that chicken division other than to finally retire Vitali.

 

ts hard beng a haye fan after the way he's ran from k2 like a lil girl. im much more of a froch fan, but label me as you will.

what i expected briggs to do was earn his shot vs a top 10 opponent, not get gifted a title shot.
