He would. Briggs wasn’t competitive in the least. Also, Gvozdyk didn’t go to Canada to be awarded a decision. Gvozdyk came to take Stevenson out and he did. If Gvozdyk needed a decision to beat a 41 year-old than he’d only have himself to blame if he didn’t get the decision just like Jack, who was complaining about getting a draw when he had an old man in front of him that he should’ve been able to stop.

 

Briggs was coming forward all night. That alone should have gotten him the nod. I do think Briggs should have at least been warned for headbutting Vitali's fists. He got away with it all night and it probably cost him the decision.

Briggs intended to get Vitali tired by acting like a mobile punching bag and he got it right. Boy was Vits sweating like anything by the 12th! Briggs thought it was 15 rounds or he would have turned up the gas earlier. He was robbed! He should have been ahead but got robbed. Murica would have given him the correct decision
