I still can't believe Ian 'Brittard weferee' John Lewis let Vitali-Briggs go the distance. He's the same ref who stopped Maccarinelli-McKenzie in rd 2 for no reason whatsoever. How inconsistent can you get??

 

Watching this match makes me wish fights were still 15 rounders.

To be fair Briggs almost had Klitschko out cold in the first second of round 4.

 

If memory serves....Briggs went to the hospital for a while after the fight. It wasn't for a stumped toe. it was because he got his ass kicked...into the hospital.

 

Briggs took a terrible beating round after round, and ended up in the hospital afterwards.

The notoriously dodgy referee Ian-John Lewis should not have been permitted to work a fight after that. A boxer's health should always be the first priority of a referee.

 

Briggs already won the event with his ring attire.

That being said his gloves were terrible. When, oh when, will people learn.
