If Adamek's chin holds (because he will get hit with something big without a doubt), I see this as a very likely outcome. Vitali is there to be outboxed by very good boxers who have the chin to withstand his shots. In Adamek, Vitali hasn't faced this calibre of opposition since Lewis.
Whoever gets to vitali first between haye or adamek will emerge victorious. Both have the athletic ability to nullify the old man.
I don't agree that Adamek has the ability, but, just on your point, I see what you're saying but both Haye and Adamek have the intangibles to beat Vitali. Assuming they are technically, athletically etc., gifted enough to beat him, they match or excel his intangibles, so they'd both beat him. As far as things like gameplan, ring smarts, bravery, desire etc. go, I think both Haye and Adamek have the edge on Vitali. ...However, Adamek is nowhere near good enough technically or physically to beat Vitali. He will get severely beaten up. Unluckily for him, Vitali doesn't have the power to knock him clean out, so it will be a prolonged beating. I can imagine watching the fight, hoping his corner throws the towel in for Adamek's own safety.
The best plans go out the window once they get in there and feel his power, see his reach, defence, and speed at counterpunching. I love how Vitali taunts them into taking a shot at him by leaning in, with his head forward and his left at his side. He is expecting they to take the offer, and when they do *fall into his trap*, he quickly leans back, outta range of their punch, then quickly leans back in, with a hard counter, which usually lands.:good That frustrates the hell outta these guys, one after another. I certianly don't see Vitali as being anywhere near aged to the point of losing before he retires. He'll steemrolll Adamek and will probably retire, every bit as dominant as he has been for the last several years. Some claim he's *old* and there for the taking.............But he barely even loses a round, fight after fight........... So stop with the *old* bull****, cause its not what I see. The guy is supremely conditioned, and still performs, even at 39, at a level that is well above everyone else, Adamek included..........
I agree. While he has aged and naturally is not the same as 10 years ago.... it still has plenty i the tank to take care of Adamek, Haye and anyone else in the division.
After he retires, and stops the heavy training, and starts to noticable show that he is no longer the powerhouse athlete, THEN I look for Valuev to finally show interest in the Vitali fight.. LOL But Valuev aside, Adamek is the only task yet to complete...............I think Vitali sees the retirement as *time*, cause not only is he getting near the end of his best years, he has also ran out of fighters to beat up. Perfect timing. LOL
Exactly.... IMO all these guys that have said "NO" over and over and over to a fight with Vitali will then come out after Vitali retires and want the fight and some will even go as far as to say "Vitali ducked me":yep:yep.... and the haters will agree:yep:yepIDIOTS
Wrong. I know what I saw against Solis. Granted, Vitali stopped Solis and won the round with a fortunate punch (fortunate because it caused Solis a pretty improbable injury considering the severity of the punch), however, Solis was clearly catching Vitali with dangerous counter punches and possibly winning the round up until the point of stoppage. Even Sosnowski, for all his incredible limitations, was able to land on Vitali. Vitali's invicibility is a myth, enhanced by him fighting limited opposition for many years (granted, its the only opposition that was available). I repeat, in Adamek Vitali hasn't faced this calibre of opponent (ability, toughness, accomplishments etc.) since fighting Lewis. People need to stop acting as though this fight will be a walk in the park and business as usual for Vitali.
