I think Vitali roughs him up and stops him in the mid to late rounds. Vitali would be more aggressive and do well at close range.

I think Vitali, even if he slipped a bit since his last pro fight years ago would beat Fury right now with the caveat that he has a full camp.

Vitali looked very frustrated. Wlad's competitive fire might have gone out, but his brothers have not. If Wlad does not want the re-match, I'm fine with Vitali coming back.

I doubt that is going to happen,,,

you talk about Vits like his age wouldn't be a factor whatsoever, I think it would be, he is no spring chicken anymore Mendoza :bbb

I think Vitali was the best all time older fighting heavyweight. Better than Geroge Foreman. Vitali is a fighter, and if he sets his mind to something with the motivation behind it, he'll follow through.

Vitali would not give a damn if Fury landed, and would pressure the goofball into fighting back, where Fury's shaky chin would surely crumble.

No way is Vitali coming back to fight Fury!

In his last fight against Charr, it was pretty obvious that Vitali had reached the end of the road. There had been signs before, but in this fight it was clear for all to see. It was his luck, that Charr was no real threat!

Now, more than 3 years later, he could not possibly get in shape to beat Fury. And he's no doubt intelligent enough to realize that!

I would agree with you about the old Vits but not so much with him coming out of retirement now, I am in my 40's, they are not kind.

If your will and technique are sound, you can get by without the speed.

Maybe Vitali gets hit more than he usually does and throws say 10 less punches around, but the rest of his advantages would still remain which are enough to beat Fury.

I have always thought that Vitali is better than Wald. I'd pick Vitali to beat Fury, but I was wrong about Wlad vs Fury.

Vitlay would be unable to cope with Fury's superior speed, range & mobility. His lean-back, reflex based defense wouldn't be effective & I can't imagine him landing enough to win a majority of rounds.

Fury by decision, maybe even a late stoppage on cuts

Sorry but imo you overate Vitali by far.

Like his brother he likes to be physically bigger, heavier, etc.

In his career, he had ONLY 2 OPPONENTS which were physically on top with him:

    1) Lennox Lewis
    size: 6 feet 5 (196 cm)
    reach: 7 feet (213 cm)

    2) Timo Hoffmann
    size: 6 feet 7 1/2 (202 cm)
reach: unknown, but i guess close to 202cm.

I am sure all of you saw his fight against Lennox, but not against Hoffmann.
Timo Hoffmann was a sold boxer with very good chin, but technical very weak + very slow.
BUT: Like Lennox he was physically in Vitali´s level.

AFTER BOTH FIGHTS (WITH LENNOX AND HOFFMANN) Vitali´s face didn´t look that good.

Fury not just on Vitali´s level, he s even bigger with longer reach. Wladimir has a longer reach as Vitali even if he s smaller, and even he had trouble to hit Fury.

The Klitschko brothers don t like if the opponent is as big or even bigger.

    Her s the Vitali-Hoffman Fight:
