Assume Vitali has 3 months to train, and the fight is June.

    Fury.

Vitali is old, ring rusty, and I don't know how he is going to adapt to fighting a guy whose younger than him, stronger, dirtier and most importantly hungrier.

Fury ist the type to be worn down, Vitali was the type to wear you down through accumulation.

Fury can be and has been dropped by single punches but Vitali was never really a one punch Ko kinda guy.

Fury is bigger and has longer reach, Vitali was used to being the bigger man but that's not the case here.

I really cant see any strong case for Vitali winning.

Fury just had an inch on Wlad, he might be shorter than Vitali.

But none of that matters, as Vitali was comfortable engaging his opponent, and hit hard enough to make Fury drop like a drunk giraffe.

Wlad if he decides to fight a little can do the same.

Vitali would be slower at age 44, but his timing if regained would make that less of an issue. I think he's walk through Fury, and hurts him once he lands something solid. I also thin Fury has too big of an ego for his own good these days, which means his suspect chin is getting checked.

I'd like to see it happen, if by chance Wlad losses.

The great Vitali takes it and the age record.

There's a reason why Vitali retired in the first place.

And secondly....when was the last time Vitali dropped anyone like a drunk giraffe?

Was it that former lhw, Adamek?

A 45 year old Vitali is way out of his depth here.

Once again, people are writing off Fury. Didn't you people learn from the Wladmir fight?

Sure Vitali likes to engage, but Fury has shown he is more than willing to step into the trenches himself.

Not to mention, Fury has great heart and stamina and if need be, he can fight dirty.

I remember Vitali looking very uncomfortable at the pace Chisora was setting and even that was about 4 years ago, do you think Vitali would be able to keep the pace with someone much younger than him and probably the same size?

Furys one weakness is he's prone to flash knockdowns, Vitali was never a one punch Ko kinda guy.

    And Fury ain't no mug.

Its a recipe for disaster for Vitali.

Fury can't out-Vitali the man himself, even a 45 year old version.

Fury is overrated. He is the champ. But, he threw how many more punches than Haye? To his credit he won. Wladimir gave a horrendous performance. Cure. LET YOUR HANDS GO....With bad intent. Vitali would knock the gypsy out. I hope he does come back, unlikely though. If Wladimir does fight him again Fury will go down and not get back up. Vitali is a mean mother and the gypsy's antics won't faze him.

    Fury beats any Vitali.

Vitali couldn't even get a decisive win over Manny Charr 4 years ago.

Vitali struggled with Chisora before that . Fury toy'd with Chisora in his sleep.

Vitali refused to fight Hughie on the Fury- Wlad undercard.

He loses to every active HW in the rankings. Fighters enter retirement for a reason.

Baed off beating who? Fury beat Wlad. Who has Vitali beaten? You can go back 10 year if you want.

He called out a 50-years old Lennox Lewis

I would favour Vitali in this one. Fury can't run away and Vitali isn't afraid to trade punches. If Cunningham and Pajkic could drop Fury, Vitaly certainly can as well.

Peter was terrible and is the polar opposite to Fury.

Chisora proved by their common opponents that he was better than Peter .

Vitali would beat him down. He always showed a granite chin to handle anything incoming and was very precise with his right hand. A few months to get the rust off, he'd be fine.
