Go back and watch the first 2 rounds and tell me that Cunningham wasn’t trying to slug with Fury. Yes his attacks were measured but he threw haymaker after haymaker & pressured Fury, there was also the significance of someone actually being able to match Fury’s speed.

Fury also fought like an absolute idiot that night and he’d be the first to admit it and although that is his fault he has improved significantly since then. Stop picking one of the worst versions of him to justify your agenda

Fury was not out on his feet - that is laughable. He wasn't even rocked. You are grossly exaggerating. He wasn't at his best, he was quite clearly drained, but he won the bout handily even with the cut. Wallin has a case for 3 rounds.

Here's the 12th round. Please provide me with the times (the video time, not the round time) where Fury is out on his feet and especially in the last minute, as you say. The last minute looks like the most comfortable minute of the round and one could quite easily argue that Fury landed more of the clean and effective punches in the round. Wallin couldn't even hit Fury with a single clean punch when he was bent over at the waist, spoiling. I like Wallin, but he did not take advantage of a tired and visually obscured Fury in that 12th round whatsoever.

This is a big part of it for me. fury is just a bit better fighter for mine. His jab and size would be critical.

I think Fury wins this fairly comfortably.
I don’t get the love of Vitali by some on here.
His whole standing seems to be based on a brave losing effort against a past prime unmotivated Lewis in his last fight.
Most of his other wins were mainly due to his physical advantages.
Yet he struggled with a small slickster in Byrd who actually pushed him back despite the huge weight and height disadvantage.
The latter day Fury is simply too good all round for the robot.
He well out reaches Vitali, is taller, heavier and I would guess wouldn’t be pushed back and mentally simply wouldn’t be intimidated.
All I can see is a sustained schooling over the distance.

Vitali UD or late stoppage. He would not fall for any of Fury's BS mind games.

I can't stand Vitali, but, he is much busier, hits harder, and has a better chin.

    This^ says it all, really.

The love for Vitali tends to be based on some nice looking stats - forgetting that they were built on a pile of mediocrity (and sub-mediocrity).

... and those mediocrities are still fighting at the top level today, years and years after their prime. One even has a strap. Either this era truly stinks (which puts Fury into question) ... or the guys Vitali beat in their prime when he was old are a lot better than you give them credit for.

I think the answer is that with a few notable exceptions, this era truly stinks.

Someone who survives full connected punches from Wilder doenst need to fear any punch of Vitali.
Wilder hits harder then Vitali that s for sure.

Look Vitali´s trouble against a heavy, past prime Lewis and a prime EU level Timo Hoffmann, who was not once a European Champion.

These were the only 2 opponents which were on par with Vitali when it comes to size and reach. Lennox was smaller but had a longer reach, Hoffmann was even 1 cm taller and had a similar reach.

Yes, Vitali hits harder then Fury and more precice, i mean his punches land more flush, but Fury is defensive even more slicker and effective as he himself.

Vitali´s reach would be the problem here, only 79 inches (201 cm), thats so much less then Fury with his 85 inches (216cm).

Vitali is not faster then Fury on his legs or his overall movements, so i dont see him land many shots.
He would hit so many air hooks like never before, even past prime Lennox and prime Hoffmann were easier to hit then Fury.

I dont see Vitali winning. Yes, he would have his moments, but to knock Fury down he must land more shots then 1, and i dont see him doing that.

Fury is overall a sh.. matchup for both Klitschko´s since he is taller, has more reach, more guts then Wlad, outstanding recover ability and is not slower as both of them.

Take all strenghts from Wlad and all strenghts from Vitali in one Klitschko, this guy would be too good for Fury.
But the 2 brothers were 2 different humans and not 1.

Vitali can win against Fury but i see more like a 116-112 or 115-113 win for Fury here.

    Main reason:

Vitali´s defense only works against smaller opponents, Lewis and Hoffmann proved that.
He leans backards always the same way, very one dimensional. Fury is multi demensional when it comes to defence.
Even Vitali in his prime could not dodge the punches of Schwarz like Fury did.

The fight is obviously a mismatch to anybody who understands how styles make fights.

Robotic Vitali whose 1-2's can only hit what is coming at him in a straight line vs multi-dimensional lateral zig zag moving Fury who switched angles better than any SHW in existence.

Its not that that hard envision a winner..

Wlad who had much better footwork than Vitali couldn't pin down Fury...Vitali who worked better off the backfoot would fare even worse... He wasn't a fort foot aggressor and would need to be against Fury

If Kingpin Johnson made Vitali look clumsy. .. Fury would make him look like a buffoon.

Assume you mean Chisora, Arreola, Kevin Johnson ?? They're journeymen now and Johnson always was a journeyman anyway, I suppose if your definition of fighting at the top level is losing to guys at the top level then yeah I guess they are, LOL.
And as for the belt holder you refer to is that Manuel Charr ?? Come on man, he hasn't fought in over 3 years, that belt he's in possession of is just that - a belt, a stage prop with no relevance whatsoever to the current HW scene.
