Sdunek is clearly a good trainer, but I mean a top level guy like Steward or Roach.

Could have been a real force but realistically I think he and Wlad would have cleaned out the division so quickly that it would have become very boring. At least when he took the break people thought he might be too old and so the fights were were more interesting as the upset was always more plausible.

Still would have loved to see Vitali with a great trainer and a career focussed on boxing alone though. Would have been a sight to behold. :good

Actually I think Steward would hurt him more than help him.

Vitali is referred to as a natural born fighter all the time. Why have somebody like Steward who is all about methodology destroy the natural rhythm?

Roach would be better, much better, obviously suited for Klitschko.

  4. Vitali Klitschko is a pure instinct-fighter. He perfected his own style and Fritz lets him do his own thing. Any other trainer would only make him more technical and I dont think it would do him any better.

The closest fighter I can compare to Vitali today is Carl Froch.

what about martinez? Vitali would basically have wlads resume if he didnt retire, I cant see anyone beating vitali in that period unless they get lucky.

Too much hype around Roach and Steward not enough credit to the fighters who are generally already champions before these guys begin training them.....

Vitali is doing fine as he is and if his brother didn't hold the other belts he would regardless of if the messiah roach was in his corner or not!!

In 04 vitali was largely regarded as the heir apparent to lewis. Wlad wasn't really an issue, it was rahman, byrd and ruiz standing his way. The way he destroyed johnson and sanders convinced people noone would give him any trouble.

By the time wlad had rebuilt himself in 06, vitali would surely have atleast fought rahman and byrd making him an undisputed champ. Other than wlad no other hw who's come since would trouble vitali.

Maybe at this point today after a solid 7 year reign he'd be troubled by quick athletic types like adamek and haye but we'll know the answer to that soon enough.

However history shows it was wlad who cleared up. It was him who beat byrd, rahman, peter, iggy, chag and haye. It was also him who beat better non titlists in brock, chambers and thompson. Wlad did what everyone expected vitali to do and people have to remember that there is no guarantee vitali would have met this success.

I agree that wlad deserves the credit and will go down as the guy with the better resume but its very likely that vitali would have done something similair unless he would get injured in a fight, none of those guys are on the klitschko level.

What are talking about? His only two losses were injured related. IMO he was gettin' into Lewis' ass and would have have beat him, had his eyebrow not opened up the way it did. And Byrd? Clearly his shoulder was hurt.

Exactly and we know the truth, Emanuel Steward is a great trainer and Sdunek is nothing.

Sdunek can work with all kinds of fighters. Stewart only with one type.

Goddamnit, either Paulinchen_ is a sock puppet account of jisi or there are two ******ed nuthugging German girls on this board. While Steward is a great trainer and had lots of success with different fighters, Sdunek is pretty much one of the best German trainers of all time. To call him "nothing" is simply just ******ed or hardcore trolling. Either way, you might learn to be a little more objective once you figure out how to remove Wlads **** from your mouth while writing on this board.
