"I have just one belt, [and] my brother has three of them. He's much younger, he's the best, he has the skills. He's a great boxer and a great champion. The only fighter who can beat me is my brother. In my personal opinion, he's better than me." Vitali Klitschko.

I had never seen that quote before. Assuming the quote is true, it confirms what I have believed for some time. Who would know better than Vitali?

Source (The quote is about halfway down the page.): http://www.*****************/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24299

Sorry about the link. I was just trying to give my source. Evidently, this forum won't allow that link.

    I think he is right.

Regardless of who you think would win head to head, you would have to credit Wladamir with the better body of work.

History will make the same judgment.

vitali couldn't stop old lewis and he hit him with everything.if wlad landed on lewis flush like vitali did, lewis would be out cold.
wlad is much more gifted than his brother, shame that he didn't got his brothers chin

See, even Vitali knows it, and yet some try and claim he'd beat Wlad because he has a better chin.

It isn´t the first time Vitali said something like that. To tell the truth Wlad said something similar about Vitali, too.

Wladimir is the best technical heavyweight of the era, and best all around puncher of the era. If he beats David Haye and Povetkin, I will start to call him a "Great" fighter. Wlad is also a good person too.

Vitali has a lot to prove to me before I rate him on par with Wladimir.

    I'll second that,..

Even though I've never met the guy, he sounds about as down to earth as anyone I've ever heard in an interview... He has class and is very intelligent.. I don't have a problem calling him a good role model. Its just too bad that there weren't more men with his tact and personality during a time when a lot more youngsters were tuning into boxing..

Its unfortunate that movies like Rocky IV gave Eastern European athletes a bad wrap for being stern, cold and heartless. Wlad and a few others have certainly put an end to that unwarranted sterio type..

I looked around online and found that quote 3 more times on 3 different sites. Vitali said it during a press conference in Warsaw, Poland on March 30th, 2010. I don't think it's simply a brother being nice to his brother, because I can't find any similar quotes from Wladimir online. I think it's Vitali giving his opinion on the matter. If so, I have to respect him for his honesty, to himself and us, on the subject.

Wlad and Vitali have a great relationship. It´s easy to be honest on these matters if you are proud of your little brother.

I'd take Wlad's superior technical skills, speed, sense of range, superior jab with reach davantage, far, far better timing, superior footwork and greater punch variety and accuracy to land him the win over Vitali's chin, thanks very much. :thumbsup

if wladimir beats povetkin, haye, adamek and solis then he will be top 10 all time heavyweight for me.
and i think the wlad from now would beat a prime vitali by ko in the late rounds

So let's get this straight ... an unverified source on a quote that may or may not have taken place and definitely may be delivered as part of an agenda is reason for jumping up and down ? In addition we do not know if it means today or ever ...

I always have liked VITALI and this certainly does not change my mind ...
