Vatali is not that great. He was humiliated by Chris Berd.

Despite what people think Lewis put on extra size for Vitali thinking he could get him out of there fast. The whole he was out of shape is false ,he was training for a very big Heavyweight unlike Vitali . Wilder wouldn't be able to do what Vitali did and that's control or deal with Lewis inside game as well as had that 250 pounds or so to push lewis back and maintain with Lewis.

I don't think Wilder defeats Lewis at anytime unless Lewis gets bored or arrogant .

    weakest link is wilder.

    Vitali would toy with him.

Vitali would shut down Fury and Joshua wont be so easy ,

I think Joshua could very well at this point counter punch a Vitali style susceptible to reach and get hit if your AJ's size. vitali going into a Joshua fight is like Wlad ,their size becomes less effective now. People have to understand Joshua is a 6'6 counter puncher who isn't slow ,the Klitschkos never fought someone like that besides Wlad and he would lose that fight 4 out of 5 times no matter what .

Didn't Vitali take the Lewis fight on short notice...kinda like 3 weeks or so.

I would actually say the fight after Lewis when he had a point to prove. How good that is ? It was Johnson who Stewrd and Lewis said was going to win and when he lost the way he did ,it was good enough to have lewis say goodbye to boxing ( that was six months after Vitali fought Lewis ) .

Vitali is pretty much an on and off fighter ,did he really have a prime? I think it varied and also injuries he fought with. Then you have the Peter fight out of boxing for 4 or 5 years? So?????

I think you have to take it by the threat level .

You can do fantasy match ups because we know he was that good by performances and dominating guys. If he had fought either of the three we would probably see thim at his best just like we would have in a Lewis rematch .

The way to defeat Vitali is with counter punching under his shots ,the problem is no one was a 6'5 counter puncher . Joshua is a 6'6 one and he has most of the advantages going in like he usually does.A good example of this is Sanders ,he was the biggest counter puncher he fought and rocked Vitali a few times . A crisp clean one able to put together shots would be Vitalis most difficult fight ,that's Joshua .

I would have to pick AJ over Lewis if I bet my house on it to defeat Vitali. I dont believe Lewis wins that rematch and neither does he. If he did no doubt narrcistic Lewis fights his mandatory Vitali and goes for the fights he said he would, he's to ego driven not to so .....

I got Vitali and AJ as my number one HWs head to head. I do randomly switch M. Tyson though because there's the top counter puncher right there, the problem is he was 5'9/5'10 and didn't work in the clinch enough. All 3 at their best are top guys for me. People don't understand theres not only skills and size but the actual factors of toppling these guys and getting a win off them in an actualk ring isn't so easy as saying they would lose.

Vitali, AJ and M.Tyson ,would be hard pressed to lose a fight at their best let alone trying to win a round off them and get in front on a scorecard.Seldom did you see that ,and on a rare occasion we have an active one right now showing you that he's not going to be so easily defeated. vitali was a bum ,now Aj is....if the top guy wasn't getting hated on I swear I would worry, now its Aj stands no chance against Vitali who was great ??? Next era Joshua will be unbeatable of course after hes long retired....smh.

I can't bekeive how overrated Wildrr, AJ and Fury are. They are not better then Lewis, and their resumes are very thin st this point.

Haha, thanks - it's just so boring. Completely pointless debate.

If there was a way of making these theoretical matchups happen without all the politics and with every fighter in their prime then fantastic. But there isn't!

Vatali Klitschko is just good not great. All current HW Champions would beat him without any problem. He's just an overrated HW Champion. If he were not a giant heavyweight then he would be KO'ed before he retired. That's for sure!

Id favor him over Fury and AJ, but I think they would be fairly competitive and Im sure they could pick up some wins too if they fought multiple times.

I think Fury poses some interesting problems for Vitali... next is AJ... and lastly Wilder (who I think stands the least chance)

they both did, but its interesting that you think only one did when there were 2 people in the ring.

vits was a more durable fighter than his bro, thus he was the fireman called in when his brother stepped up too much and got caught out. But Wlad was the better boxer, even if he was sent cascading for stepping up time ad again with no hope in a rematch.

    Not sure I agree here.

Vitali was a very mobile heavyweight and before injury he was most definitely a puncher.

He would have a torrid time with Fury. In fact I think he'd lose that one.

He might beat Joshua if he could intimidate him and impose his size on him, but we need a bit more data on Joshua before making a firmer prediction.

He obviously beats Wilder, but that's because Wilder is chit.

Vitali wasn't the smartest fighter, and fought with a very readable rhythm and speed. It's why Byrd was able to make him look so foolish for long stretches of their fight. Fury would be just like Byrd, but with the size and reach to keep Vitali from setting his feet or getting into range.

I think a UD for Tyson isn't out of the question here.

That's just stupid. KOed by whom? He took flush shots from Lewis without being hurt.
And Wilder, who is being outboxed by the likes of Shpilka is great?
And AJ who went life and death with a 41 year old man, who was being beat up by a muay thai fighter in sparring is great?
How is Wilder going to beat Vitaly? With a baseball bat?
