    His top 3 wins were:

    1. Sam Peter
    2. Corrie Sanders
    3. Danny Williams

Other Notable wins: Kirk Johnson, Solis and Briggs.

Solis could have been up there due to his high status pre-fight... had it not been for the injury when getting dropped. As I think Vitali would have iced him in impressive fashion.

His best performance was definitely the Sam Peters fight.

In the Sanders performance it was a fire fight, where was caught and wobbled at one point so not up there as picture perfect (but it did display his mandible). But then again that was a highly motivated and very chemically enhanced Sanders who that night would have been a test for anyone. Ignore the trolls as that Sanders win was decent, because of the version of Sanders that was in the ring that night.

So motivated that he turned up, fought one round and was unable to even move properly afterwards due to the shape be was in?

    Yeah, real great win

You must have seen a different fight to me. I rewatched it in the last year, and Sanders live dog in that fight right up until the 6th round...Not many in the division at that time could stand toe to toe with Vitali like that and hold their own for 5-6 rounds. That isnt even up for debate.

I rewatched it this morning, and Sanders had a good first round, couldn't do anything in the second, and after having spots of success in the third, completely packed it in. He was in awful shape, was 38 years old, and it showed.

And who gives a **** what people could do at that time? It's the worst era in the division, ever.

I am a little bit surprised to see Danny Williams being thrown into the argument.

Yes it was a domination, but Williams was only ever Comm0onwealth level.

He was the kind of fighter who you would expect the best in the world to dominate.

His third best win is probably Herbie Hide. It is close between Hide and Vaughn Bean actually.

If you dont think that version of Sanders would have taken out a lot of fighers in that era and in other eras, then you are under estimating him.

If icing Wladmir was so easy then alot of others would have done it. He did it, others didnt.

You have made comments about his condition but he was throwing a lot of power punches with intent. Also, Ruiz Jr wasnt in great shape when he sent Femi into the middle of next week was he? This isnt a beauty pagent it is a fighting mans sport.

Peter. Usually old fighters that come back against a world champion don't fare well, but Vits put in a masterclass.

    Thats a crazy post.

The Sanders win is equal to Cooneys win over Norton or Lucas Brownes win over Chagaev.. Sanders was shot , unmotivated and clearly in terrible shape...

Never said that. I said that the era was ****, not that Sanders wasn close to the top of the pile at that time.
    Others did do it
I never once said anything about the way Sanders looked. I said he was in bad shape and was 38. He gassed after the first, and didn't do anything of note after the third. He wasn't 'throwing a lot of power punches' through six, he was threw over fifty in the first round. 50, of 139 total. Going by compubox (which I appreciate is far from perfect, but still gets the general point across), he landed 30% of his total punches in the first round. And he threw less than half of the power punches Vitali did - and 100 less total punches than an old Sam Peter did years later.

Furthermore, the fact that there's only one example of a fat**** taking a champ's title just shows how rare it is.

He wasnt shot because only 12 months earlier he had destroyed Wladimir Klitschko

He wasnt unmotivated because we all saw the performance

I find it very strange that you are trying to re-write history here. I dont have any skin in the game but it seems that you have a real irrational man love for the Klits. Were the previous and long forgotten poster Suge Knight friends ?

Was Lewis prime when he beat Vitali? Was Foreman prime when he beat Moorer? Was Povetkin prime when he beat Whtye? What a stupid post.

He was unmotivated and he also didn't spar because he had a hand injury leading up to the fight.

Yes we all saw Sanders perform like he never did before - like plod forward , throw wild swings drunk and block punches with his face.

Sanders turned up for a pay day , nothing more.. He had long lost his interest for boxing at that point.

Was the Wladimir Klitschko win his career best win? A yes or no will suffice.

He turned up to take Vitali's head off. He was putting everything into those punches to get the KO- it is staring you in the face.

If you look at some of his fights after that, such as the one against Machimama. He didnt look bothered at all. Now that is an example of not being motivated just for reference.
