Here's one for you, did you know that Vitali has beaten a total of two men who were ranked in the Ring's top 3 at the time he faced them?

He's been boxing at the top level since 1998...it's pointed out endlessly by his crew that he can't fight the #1/#2 right now because it is his brother, he was beaten by the only other outstanding champion of he era...and yet he's only managed to corner TWO guys ranked near the top in his time in boxing.

    That is pathetic.

Vitali fights the highest available fighters. It isn't his fault his opponents tremble with fear of fighting him. He can't make them train can he? Does he stuff their mouths with food or something?

Why so few #1 (once, a loss) #2 (twice, both wins) and #3 fighters (Was Byrd #3 when he beat Vitali?) in the world matched then? EVERYone in the top 3 is unavailable at all times?

Yes I'm so lucky to live in an era with the worst heavyweight division of all time, the two most boring champions of all time, and an era where the top 2 guys won't even fight each other! I am blessed!

Good point. That indeed is career defining, being chucked off the Olympic team for being a steroid cheat. Good one.

if i had to guess, it was also career defining because it forced vitali and wlad to find steroids that couldn't be found by routine testing.

That wasn't his fault to be fair, his doctor gave him something for an injury, and

VITLAY Klitschko didn't know what it was so just took it, he thought it was to help with his piles or something. Or his gagging reflex.

And if he had lost to Tyson it'd have been the same story... "he was shot, blah blah blah".

Don't forget when Lewis outboxed, outjabbed, and outhustled the mismatched Golota.

Vitali is a wasted talent when you consider how little he has achieved. Vitali has always been a class above his brother IMO, you can just see it in the ring, even now, Vitali toys with opponents, is all cool and when he gets hit, he takes it and continues.

Unfortunately, he's had bad luck. Now, people will mention the Lewis, or worse the Byrd fight. Both fights were very winnable if it weren't for injuries/cuts. And really, appart from this dreaded era of HWs and appart from having a brother that's too into boxing, injuries have reduced his legacy.

Wow! Some posters are very close minded. I'm surprised you got to me so soon. You appear very busy on this thread defending Vitaly's honor. Lost my post count somehow, I've been a member for a few years, and watching boxing since the late 70's. And ray rick richard or whatever the **** it is it was still a more entertaining fight. And you can hold class whenever you want, but I'm not going to pay attention. What's with all the name calling? Try having a reasonable conversation. Actually a fight with Lewis and Rick Mercer would be a spectacle. Rick weighs in at about 165 and is a television host. And why do you put yourself through such apparent agravation by posting on this thread that judging by the threads start is a place for fellow "hatters" (that's how long i've been here) of VK.
