    Do you watch boxing?

Have you seen McCall fight in the last ten years?

The guy is slow and eats punches the way James Toney eats donuts! Vitali will hit this guy at will and either put him on his back or stop him on cuts. All of these people in love with McCall have not been watching his comeback fights because he has been looking less than impressive.

BTW, as far as Vitali getting tkoed in sparring...source please:deal

i like vitale but i dont think he's healthy enough to come back to boxing.on his prime, rahman wasnt match for him.
maybe he should fight Juan c. gomez, not a big puncher at HW and will keep him moving and dealing with foot/hand speed

I don't think it will be anybody. I don't think he can escape injury while training anymore.
I would advise Vitali to retire.

Vitali is done as a fighter, he should just sit in his brothers corner and watch Wlad dominate the weakest Heavyweight division of all time.

Yes, apparently he's hell bent on revenge and wants to rematch Bryd.

yep yep yep. not a optimistic post but a realistic one.

if he was to do something, he should have done it by NOW. he should stay retired. at best, he comes back, beats a couple of hand picked fighters, injures again as he is no longer young now, and retires once again. what does it do for his career? nothing. does little for the fans too imo.

Well, his best win was Williams.

He should perhaps take on a part-time cruiserweight with no wins on his record for a comeback.

I'd say his best win was his beat down of Kirk Johnson.
KJ never recovered from that :-(

Hmmm.... maybe you're on to something.

    Chris Byrd.... :think

    Late 30's...... CHECK!
Only 3 fights and one win in 2 years.... CHECK!
    Coming off a loss..... CHECK!

If only he could guarantee that he would be in the worst shape of his career then he would fit the bill perfectly as a typical Vitali Klitschko opponent.

Kirk Johnson looked pretty garbage when he fought Ruiz some years ago. Against Vitali, he just showed up.

I still don't know what his plans for a comeback fight are, at this point.

He said, most recently, that he'll see what happens in Oleg Peter, and be ready to step in if one is injured......... But does that mean that Vitali will not fight a tuneup, first?

I just read that he's got til May (90 days after the Feb 2 fight) to face the winner.....

So I assume, Vitali is NOT going to take a tuneup opponent, will get ready to fight, himself, but will sit and wait to see if one is injured in order to take his place.......but if one is not injured, Vitali will then set up (try to set up) his shot against the winner for sometime before May 2.

Is this how you understand it? I think it sounds as if he's going to train and prepare, and not fight a tuneup, if the Oleg Peter fight comes off as planned........????????

I think he needs to plan to fight someone like McCline, or even Andrew Golota, the week after the Oleg fight, so he'll be ready to step in on Feb 2, in needed, but if he's not needed, he'll already be trained and ready to blow the rust off in a warmup fight the following weekend..........in preparation for the titleshot by May.

    Agree?

If that is true, I think its bull****. There are many more deserving fighters waiting for there shot, like Gomez, Virchis, even Mccline after his surprise performance against Peter. Vitali has caused enough trouble with his failed comeback attempts, the WBC needs to tell him wait in line like the rest.
