    There are a lot of guys that probably do deserve a shot instead of Vitali right now, but in all fairness he was promised an immediate title shot at the WBC belt if he was to come back.

    Right.

    And he is not even getting a shot, right away. He is having to sit aside, and have Oleg and Peter fight, first. So this is not like Vitali is storming in and taking over, immediately.

    And since he didn't have his title taken away from him in teh ring, and when he did defend it, it was a onesided beatdown (Williams), I think that warrants him getting a good place in line to fight for the title agian. And he's not first in line, anyway. He's second. So I'd say that's about fair to all involved. As long as the winner in May has to fight the Virchis Gomez winner first. :good

    Maskaev = title

    Peter

    Vitali

    Gomez Virchis winner

    I'd say that is very fair. Afterall, Peter did manage to knock Vitali down in line a slot, so what's not fair about Vitali now being second? Is second now not low enough? What the f**k? LOL Afterall, he did have the title, and was never beaten for it, so that CERTAINLY warrants being second in line, if he has to face the new mandatory, thereafter. That is all kinds of fair to everyone involved, if you ask me.

    Valuev is the only acceptable choice at this point.

    I would like to see Vitali fight a tune-up, even a C class boxer, just to see him "in-training.' But since the Maskaev-Peter fight is not too far away, I dont know if he will take one up. Vitali did state that he will stand by and see if Maskaer or Peter gets hurt, and then he will step in. It sounds like the HeavyWeight division is full of old guys if we are going to have two boxers on a list, and then some boxers behind them in case one fails, but the fight must go on. I think Vitali said this in order to circumvent an additional opponent and go straight for the WBC belt. But, than again he might be on to something. Maskaev might get an injury again.

    Golata was lucky to make it out of the first round against Mcbride, he wouldn't have the same luck against Vitaly.

    Will you put the Peter hype to rest when Oleg KO's your boy? Really, if Maskaev beats Sam would you write Peter off?

    It depends how it happens, but I doubt I would write off my favorite fighter RUSKULL. Would you write off Wlad if he gets knocked out by Iggy?
